Well, I am on phase 2 of Atkins, which is called OWL (on going weight loss). It is very similar to SB phase II. I add in more carbs each week mostly fruits, vegetables, berries, nuts, and high fiber grains until I find my carb tolerance level. When I find that I stop losing or gain weight, I back it back down and continue until I reach goal.
Wendy, I have found that keeping track is really important. I belong to an online forum for Atkins as well. Lots of recipes, tips, advice, and there is a program that you input everything you eat. It calculates the number of calories, the carb content, the fat content, and all of the ratios. You also log in your exercises, your weight and it calculates the calories burned. BTW, I don't know if they have this in Canada, but Natures Own, makes a bread that is whole grain that only has 5 net carbs per slice.
Well, I don't think I have found my carb tolerance level yet, but I did actually gain weight this week. Not much, only 1/2 pound, so I'm not stressing out. I think it is just a temporary stall or water weight or too many nights that I had a glass of wine. I haven't taken my measurements lately, but I can tell they are going the right direction.
