I was heavy as a child, then dropped weight in college. Packed it back on in perimenopause and then from having to take tamoxifen (those male doctors--they say there is no "statistical correlation" between that and weight gain. the nurses know, and tell you, the real truth). It has been an uphill battle (no pun intended) ever since.
I agree not to fret about getting back to those "good old days" of skinniness. I wouldn't want to be college-age again for anything. I like knowing what I know now. But if I had known then what I know now.....that would be the ticket.
Right now, it is in single digits here, and we are going to go below zero for a few days. That really cuts into my walks, which is what I use for exercise. I just can't get into indoor treadmills, etc. In an office all day. So I guess bundle up is the word. But that wind!
