Re: Crystal refund? RachelG 05/12/21 04:42 PM
We are still waiting. George is wanting to sue them, but I fear that would just take even more time. This is really ridiculous. I called them a couple of weeks ago and was told that 95% had been refunded. I think that is probably a lie.

Hopefully Freeport instead; can take the ferry from Fort Lauderdale.

Hoping to be on Silversea Origin in the Galapagos Aug 28. We have had so many trips cancelled, not just cruises but also a land trip to Netherlands, that I dare not get my hopes up.

Hola! Peter and I are finally going on our 7 day Rhine river cruise on the Crystal Debussy, sailing from Basel on November 4, to Amsterdam November 11.

Arriving a few days before to spend a few days in Munich, then driving to Schloss Leiser on the Moselle, then on to visiting friends in Luxembourg for a couple of days, then a couple of nights in Strasbourg, then on to Basel for a couple of days before we board the Debussy. After Amsterdam, driving to Berlin to visit a friend, then a couple of days in Nürnberg and finally drive back to the Munich airport to catch the direct flight home.

We were supposed to do this trip last October but we all know what happened!!!

The upper cabinets and lower drawers have been removed on the Voyager and Navigator. The Mariner has an upper corner cabinet for glassware and still has lower storage.

Re: Covid Testing for Travel Ngaire 05/07/21 12:06 AM
Actually both are correct. Talking about two different things.

From Helen
I'm really confused now: State dept website says "Negative COVID-19 Test Required: Any travelers to South Africa will need to present a negative COVID-19 test not older than 72 hours from the time of departure, or will be required to remain in mandatory quarantine at their own cost if they have not done a COVID-19 test.
Response
YES everyone must arrive with a negative covid test no older than 72 hours from departure. But probably everyone will get that Covid test! If you arrive WITHOUT a Negative Covid-19 test you can get tested (facility in the basement of the airport) and if you are negative then it is my understanding then you do NOT have to quarantine.

From Helen
While CNN reports:
All travelers must complete a screening form within 48 hours of their trip to produce on their device at the airport. On arrival, they must present a paper copy of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival.
Response
YES that is all correct. They are talking about the Entry Form that has basic information and has health questions and must be completed on line no earlier than 48 hours before arrival. I am sending you that all filled out with all your personal details and all you have to do is copy the details to the on line form. Only thing not filled in ahead for you is your flight and seat numbers as they may change. This is a good idea as filling in these forms on arrival slows the entire arrival process down. Once completed they send you a code on your phone and you show the code and then can move on through the process without a time delay.

Also you must have a paper copy of your covid test showing it on your phone is not acceptable.

Those on my safaris do not need to worry, you will be receiving a lot of information with your final itineraries.

Re: Regent Restart 11 Sep With Splendor Ngaire 04/30/21 05:13 PM
Unbelievable that the first Regent Cruise and BOOTS was on the same day.

We will probably have two other executives come in Jason's place. Still working on who will be coming but Regent will be well represented. Always good for other Regent staff to experience BOOTS and for KLT'ers to meet additional executive staff. Hoping for the Head of Reservations as that is the person who makes so many decisions on booking issues.

Getting busy again and that is a great thing! So the time will pass quickly and BOOTS will be here soon. Off to South Africa May 26 and will be gone until July 5. Then the Crystal cruise on July 24, then the Silversea Origin for Clay August 21 and for me August 28. I get back September 5, just 5 days before the start of festivities on September 10th. Looking forward to the a bit of normalcy again.

Things looking good for the Endeavor.

The Endeavor is starting to sail in Iceland in July and now France is planning on opening up to vaccinated American Tourists
