What works for me is controlling the carbs, not necessarily the fat intake. With the absence of carbs in my system, I find that I am much less hungry and my body burns off the fat as energy instead of storing it. At least it is working for me.
One thing we do is buy more expensive meats at Costco. Instead of buying sirloin for example, we buy Filet Mignons and if there are 4 in a pack, I take three out and bag them with our foodsaver and store in the freezer. I take the one Filet (about 8 to 12 oz) and will grill that for both Diana and I to share and either top off with a small dinner salad or some grilled asparagus. I can even have it topped with some bernaise sauce (again because there are little to no net carbs).
Today was weigh in and inspite of my one evening binge, I still lost 3 lbs last week, so I am still on track.
