Guess I should step out from the shadows...

My name is Liz, and my DH and I will be cruising to Alaska this summer on the Mariner. Our only other cruise was the PG for our honeymoon in 2002. He had to pry me off that ship!

Not sure how we'll fit in here - we don't have the vacation time or money to cruise as much as many of you. I've been extremely lucky in that my work has sent me to some great places and I've been able to bring DH (Paris, Amsterdam and Stockhom), and some places I haven't managed to bring him to yet (Melbourne, southern France, the Hague, the UK). Traveling for work (even with DH) and vacation are completely different though - I never completely relax when I'm there for work - though I do like interacting and working with locals - great way to get to know the people. (and, unfortunately, no one else pays for my plane ticket and hotel when I am on vacation!)

About us - we're kept by 3 furry children (all cats) and like to hike as the weather allows. We've also recently started biking again, and hope to keep it up to help us stay in shape.

Anyway, just a meek hi from me before I overload you all with my questions later.
