What a nice idea!I've really enjoyed reading about the various backgrounds of my fellow travelers!
I was born in Cuba and emigrated with my family( for obvious reasons) to PR in 1961. My husband Bob is from Atlanta and we met while working for Merck, the pharmaceutical co( he still works there) . I'm now "retired" from the corporate world and spend my time planning trips!
I took my first cruise when I was 18, aboard the Carla C, a Costa ship. 3 girls and I were in a quad for which we paid $400 each! Pretty outrageous when you consider the size of the cabin and bathroom( tiny!).Since then I've been in 12 cruises , 2 of which have been in Radisson( Navigator to Alaska and Voyager to Baltic). Bob's first cruise was during our honeymoon , a transcanal aboard the Royal Princess.
We have 2 children: a boy 14 and a girl 9.
Last year on the Voyager we had the pleasure of meeting some people from the boards(Ngaire and Ken, Anne and Gary (adrenn) and Mary Ellen and her husband(m'ellen)). We're looking forward to meeting the rest of you soon!
