Denise, I felt the same way about Venice, and Rome also. I was a mere 20 years old at the time and I had to keep reminding myself that I was actually there in those beautiful cities. Venice is still my most favorite memory of all our travels (so far!!) To this day I can still feel the awe!!! As you can imagine, a Mediterranaen cruise is very high on my list. I have a picture on my bulletin board of Portofino. I haven't been there and it is another "must see" for me.
