Thank you, Andi, Karen, John, Ngaire...all of you, for this wonderful board....and what a great thread!
I was totally hooked on traveling after spending my junior year abroad in Florence in the late sixties! When Jack asked me to marry him ;) (20 plus years ago)and move to Brasil, that was it! From the excitement of Rio we moved on to the Middle East. Living in the Middle East gave us the incredible opportunity to travel the world! Just to get home was an Around The World airline ticket. Oh those were the days..... (Right, Andi! :D ) And after seeing all that sand for 2 years, I was thrilled to move to the ocean in Boca Raton  !
I grew up in the hotel business so when our affiliation with Radisson hotels in the early nineties resulted in the opportunity to take a cruise on the Diamond, we couldn't resist! Loved the ship, loved the service, the food and the whole experience! Did a few HAL ships after that and adored the huge suites but the RSSC cruising experience is the best for us! Except for SOF, have sailed on all the RSSC ships, and each one becomes our new favorite! We are somewhat conflicted however since we also love land travel....and can only work in so many trips a year! So many places to go...so little time...so little money!
Jack and I are still involved in my family's hotel business and I also sell real estate. We have a precious Havanese who totally controls our life! We've shown him for the past 2 years, but are considering his retirement shortly.
Our work keeps us (way too) busy so we cherish the diversion, excitement and treasured experiences of travel! I love the planning and anticipation of every trip. And I love sharing and learning from all the wonderful people on this board! Thank you, all!
