Although I don't know the exact itinerary for PANDA, on our WC (for what it's worth if anything).....

We're doing similar to what Eugene is talking about. We are leaving the ship from Shanghai in the morning (ship leaves later that afternoon) and flying to Xian to see the TerraCotta Warriors (have a guide lined up to pick us up and deliver us back to the airport late afternoon). We then fly to Beijing for 3 nights (also have guide and hotel booked). We then fly from Beijing to Hong Kong and arrive 1/2 hour later than the Voyager is scheduled to arrive. The Voyager overnights in Hong Kong which makes me feel good in the event our flight were delayed etc.

We chose to do this on our own so we are able to see both Xian and Beijing....not to mention we're doing all this (including hotel, guides, and 3 flights for 2 people) for less than what RSSC was charging for ONE PERSON to go on Xian excursion.

In our case we still have one full day and night in Shanghai as well as an overnight and full day in Hong Kong.
