Tiger Temple - this is a monastery where the monks care for and rehabilitate wild animals. They have raised tigers (which are native to this part of Thailand and nearby Myanmar/Burma) from cubs, often when the mother is killed by poachers. They have trained the tigers (and feed them well) so that visitors can view and pet the tigers. The tigers are well-fed and it is very hot there, so they were sleepy when we visited in the afternoon. We were able to interact with juveniles and with adult tigers - we saw about 5 juvenile tigers and about 20 adults.
