All the beautiful photos and detailed reports brought back many memories of our Radisson cruise of Vietnam in March of 1997 on the Song of Flower. Andi, it doesn't seem as if there is any progress at all since 1997! Maybe more motor scooters, but looking at my photos from that time, it doesn't appear much different including the same tours we took on the Mekong, etc.It truly seems like a backward country. Didn't anybody do the Cu Chi Tunnels? Can't spell it right but anyway, Clyde climbed through them to see the underground hospitals and kitchens the Vietnamese soldiers used during the war. Eerie. I was too chicken to go down into them!
