Everyone else is posting such great information, I haven't had much to add. We're enjoying the ship as usual and learning much about Vietnam. It's interesting that the southern part of the country seems to be much more advanced than the north. Hanoi was really third world--Saigon and Danang are only second world if there is such a thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Danang especially our time at the beautiful China Beach. Saigon was great also--especially the hair raising pedi-cab ride. We knew what to expect because we had taken a pedi-cab in Danang when we were there. We decided to take a day off and stay on the ship today. I'm glad we didn't go on our planned Mekong Delta trip because it's raining outside. Sea day tomorrow and then we make our first stop in Thailand at Ko Sumai. I'm excited -- I finally get to ride on an elephant there.
