What funny things did you do during MUSH?

In Sitka, I fell in the river with all the salmon...I wanted a closer look...I got one! I was swimming with the fishies.

Marcie, don't feel too guilty...maybe someone Jewish will get your room.

We locked ourselves out of our cabin 3 times. The last time, we were taking our luggage out to put in the hall on the last night. We were discussing how on our last cruise, I locked myself out in the hall in my pjs. We were laughing about it and then Mark said "oh shoot" (that's not what he really said) when the door closed behind us and we BOTH were locked out in our pjs!!

Right Robert, as cute as it is that Karen and Mark were locked out in jammies.......there is more...i can feel it. I did hear something about "what happens on Mush........" but I'm sure they don't mean us!

My token "secret" was exposed.

David, Andrea, and Grant all figured out that my secret to winning tokens was to just show up. Grant calls these "pity tokens." Last (extra) day shuffleboard is scheduled in afternoon. I get up there and Andrea is already there; it is raining. I start the charade by getting a couple of stones down to practice. Grant then arrives and starts practicing too. By the time Selena (dancer) arrives, we are making believe that we really want to play. Since she doesn't want to stand out in rain, she gives us three tokens for just showing up so that she can go back in doors. Grant got so good at this that he would double book himself knowing that the "sporting event" wouldn't last long.

Marc, what did you purchase with all your tokens?? I will be taking the 2 that we won after your intense, highly sought after, token mentoring course on our Decemeber Navigator cruise, lol.

All we purchased were four napkin rings. We added the rest of the tokens to the stash. I have about 175 tokens. On World Cruise and South America cruise, according to Marcie, tokens had a value of $1 for gift shop purchases. I am hoarding for the day when we can take one of these long cruises and I can exchange the tokens for that diamond necklace Arlene wants.

Marc, you have a great goal for those tokens! I'm sure Arlene will be thrilled.

We didn't have anything really funny happen, although I did get locked out of our cabin once, but our room stewardess was right there and let me in, but as far as I remember I wasn't in my PJ's or bathrobe!!

Once I was just finishing my shower and I heard the doorbell ring. I assumed it was Tom and he had gotten locked out so I grabbed a towel (still soaking wet) and ran to open the door to let him in. WRONG....Karen, Joanna, Tony (probably more?) were all outside my door and Tony took a picture! :eek:

This goes back to the days on the Song of Norway when Jamie and Dana (1993) were the cruise directors. We did almost anything for the "Ship Shape Bucks", but you still had to play the game with them. But now that Regent has the dancers running the games they seem to be all for getting it over as fast as possible and when its wet it's like winning a trifecta!

I felt sorry for the two or three couples who were not part of MUSH (one of them was next door to us).

While your plan for your hoarded tokens sounds fun, you might want to rethink it. I checked the April 23rd Passages and on Voyager's World Cruise this year tokens were 1=$1 "towards any boutique item of clothing, hats or bags - full payment in tokens is required." Sorry, no jewelry! :(

I guess she will have to be satisfied with the clothing, hats, and bags. Still, I hope to have enough tokens by the 2014 World Cruise to make a dent in their inventory. :D

You go!! Just didn't want you, or Arlene, to have any false hopes! Some guy on our WC won 492 tokens during the WC alone! Voyager ran out of tokens sometime early on (January maybe?) and awarded Dag Dollars after that. I know you would be devastated if they ran out of tokens on a cruise you were on! Anyway, I think that you will be able to make a dent in the inventory with or without your existing hoard. Live it up.
