Clyde had a heart attack last night and is now in St. Vincent's Hospital, Jacksonville, FL. He is doing okay and his nurse promised me he would be back on the golf course in two weeks. Needless to say, I'm a wreck!

Oh Jean, so sorry to hear this. Frank and I will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers and send lots of hugs and love     your way.

I hope that Nurse is right, we are looking forward to dinner again with you on CANADA.

Keep thinking positive thoughts. I know this must be difficult and scary to say the least. Give Clyde our love and best and know we are thinking about you both.

Thank you, thank you, for all your thoughts and prayers. Thankfully, the doctors think it may just be a clogged by-pass and a couple of blockages. His original by-passes are pretty old by now so I guess they don't last forever. But he's a toughie and I'm praying the angioplasty they are doing this afternoon will find little heart damage and just a need for a couple of stents. You are all soooo supportive;LCTers are the very best. He will be amazed at all this support. He thinks he doesn't really count on LCT but I tell him he is much loved. This proves it.

Jean, my thoughts are with you both. I hope it's just a clogged bypass and that the angioplasty goes well. You are both loved!!

Jean,
Jim and I are keeping you both in our thoughts. Jim says to tell Clyde that golf is great therapy for recovering from angioplasty (he should know, he's had two). Wishing you both a speedy return to "normal".

Whew! Well, it seems that one of his old by-passes was clogged as was thought and that's it. He's still in the hospital being observed and made to walk (he says he's getting tired of walking up and down the corridors but he really has a very nice view of the St. John's River as Joanna and Tony probably know, and a nice solarium to sit and read). I'm disappointed he didn't come home today but hey, if it's best for him then so be it. But I'll tell you, I don't like being a widow and I have great respect for the many who live here by themselves. I don't even know how to put out the garbage!! Thank you all for being there for us and I can't wait for him to come home and read all these wonderful messages. Maybe he'll be a believer then. See you all on WINES AND CANADA!!!

Clyde & Jean, Glad everything turned out well. I have a severe heart attack at age 54. 6 years ago and have been well since. In fact, exactly 6 months after the stent placement I was standing in Red Square in Mowcow. Tell Clyde to go for lots of walks; go together. Will be have cardiac rehab a few times a week? Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Judy

Yes, Clyde is home and doing just fine. He goes for short walks and is not to carry anything 5 lbs or more. He had "twinge" after driving to the store yesterday (against my better jugement!) so he's taking it easy today. After Tuesday the doc said he can do anything he wants so that means golf, of course. I sure hope, Judy, that he will be on WINES this summer celebrating his 96th birthday. Maybe we will be staying on the ship most of the time but that's okay. We've been to most of the ports, anyway. Thanks again for all your most kind words and thoughts. Love you all.

Ngaire, you were SO thoughtful to call us. Not to be fogotten. Have a wonderful "ROO cruise.
