An update on international red tape.

It appears there is ONE piece of paper that is missing for our ship. Silversea had full clearance from Moscow signed by the Prime Minister but why this "one piece of paper" was not included it seems no one knows.

So not all the ships have been denied as the local officials first thought. This is being resolved now and we are hopeful we will be able to continue our voyage with our Russian ports. This WILL get resolved for future trips so Jim and Pam will be fine it is just if it gets resolved in time for our visit.

So we stay here until 11.00 pm tonight. If we get clearance we proceed to our next Russian port where all kinds of things have been planned. If not we go to Port Hope, get US clearance and then visit some native villages in Alaska.

FOR ALL THOSE ON THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE. SILVERSEA IS OFFERING COMPLIMENTARY TRANSFERS TO ALL GUESTS FROM THE PIER TO THE NOME AIRPORT. SO WE WILL NOT NEED TO USE TAXIS.
