I did not answer some questions from earlier posts.
No self service laundry. Over 100 nights on Silversea and the laundry is complimentary. Pricing $6 for pants and shirts, $2 for socks, $3.50 for tee shirts. Pretty standard pricing.
The Discoverer is smaller than the Explorer. There is no shop but items on display they can get for you. There is only one lounge that is used for recaps and pre and post dinner drinks. There is the main dining room for lunch (pool grill menu - burgers etc) and dinner. There is a casual restaurant that also has on deck dining for breakfast and lunch. They do their "hot rocks" dining at night on deck when the weather co-operates. They put your meat or fish in on a scalding hot tile and you cook it yourself at the table. The explorer has the extra Panorama and Observation lounges.
Staff here continues to be outstanding. Only eight waiters and they do a remarkable job. The expedition team is great and really take advantage of every landing site to give the guests the best experience. Delightful reception staff as well. The ship runs very smoothly.
