There are no formal nights on the PG.
Sun dresses and dressy slack outfits were the norm for ladies. A few but very few formal dresses.
Polo/sport shirts/floral shirts were the norm for men. Some dress slacks, but lots of Docker styles.
A few guys had sports coats on but NO ties.
We wore colored t-shirts for snorkling and did not have any problems with sun burns.
