Kathy & Kimmi - maybe flip flops are a coastal thing. They are a huge fashion item out here with all styles & colors. Some even have little heals on them and some with rhinestones. I stick to the simple ones, but I promise they will look nice, not shabby. I also saw that Teva has some flip flops too!
Kathy, I was thinking the same thing about the umbrella - espcially for the Children of Raiatea. But then, I'll need to stay on the side or back so I wouldn't block views. I'm so short that then I wouldn't see. But I'd be out of the sun :D
Wes, our husbands will want a full report on the jacket issue. Kathy, Tom is like Frank about not wanting to wear jackets. Then, we also got him some of the silk t-shirts and now he doesn't mind a sports jacket with those. He even wears them without the jacket. I love the look w/ or w/o the jacket. I doubt that he'll even bring the jacket. That was one of my enticements to get him on this cruise - casual wear!!!
Kimmi, it is my understanding that there are no typical formal or informal nights, with all nighttime dress being Resort Casual. I have a couple of summery tropical print skirts that I'll wear with lightweight tops and a pair of black silk pants that I'll wear a couple nights with different tops. And a couple of sundress type dresses. That should do it. Plus I can wear some of that on pre-cruise if I want.
