My husband David doesn't wear polo shirts. So I get him nice summery resort shirts instead. Some are silk, some are linen, some are cotton. And three pairs of light coloured pants, one saved for rough and tumble, the other two for dining.

I also managed to buy him a pair of shorts (he never wears shorts), and he found them comfy in the heat.

The first time we went, I had to dissuade him from wearing cowboy boots and jeans. At the time he was virtually living in his cowboy boots. And he lives in his jeans all year round (he's an academic!)
