I would like to recommend another item of clothing...go to a scuba shop and buy a long sleeved snorkling top. It is specially coated to prevent sunburns, which are great when you are floating on your stomach...no terrible back burns.

I found that most women dressed up at dinner each night and there was a formal night. I think 2 nights were informal, with one being a pareo night. I didn't need much in the way of shorts or slacks or tops. You will need shorts of some type if you ride the waverunner.

For the daytime, you can get by with bathing suits (at least 3) and some pareos, which you can buy in Tahiti at the market for about $15 each. You will need sandles and reef shoes.

Think 6 outfits for the evenings, one being formal.

Doug wore Tommy Bahama entirely during the evening and brought one jacket. It could get chilly in the dining room. He wore bathing suits, polo shirts or tee shirts and shorts during the day.
