Betty - sorry to hear you had to cancel. I was looking forward to meeting you!

Andrea - it will interesting to hear about your experience on the Paul Gauguin since Regent is no longer operating her. I don't think I've seen any other LCT folks scheduled to be on baord since the changeover. Hope they can keep up the standards. We really enjoyed our Paul Gauguin cruise and loved French Polynesia.

Cindy and Wendy,

I'll definitely give you a full report upon our return. We actually wanted to sail on March 27 but there were only two staterooms available (Owner's Suite and a Grand Suite). April cruises were also very booked but May had good availability.

Cindy, we will be on the Reykjavik-Southampton portion of your cruise. We were on the same cruise this last year (either the Norway or the Venice to Istanbul--can't remember which). Anyway, we never formally met. I was trying to figure out who you were. Let's try to meet up this time for sure!

Great! I was wondering if any other LCT cruisers would be on board. Looking forward to meeting you both. Only 69 days, 4 hours and 23 minutes until our cruise (but whose counting!!)

Let the countdown begin, Cindy!

We haven't been on a ship since our Alaska cruise last June, and we are REALLY ready. I'm glad to know there are other LCTers onboard also. RachelG, maybe we'll even get to meet you as we exit (sob) and you board!

Lars and I will be doing a crossing on Holland America....it's the right timing for us and we will disembark in Barcelona where we will pickup a lease car for the summer. We plan to spend about 10 weeks in Europe - visiting friends and family.

The Noordam leaves Fort Lauderdale on May14 - we arrive in Barcelona on May 27 - it will be cruise shock after the Seabourn Legend 200 to 2000 passengers. But I'm sure we'll have FUN!

Here's our itinerary:

Date Port Arrive Depart
14 Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US 05:00 PM
15 - 21 At Sea
22 Funchal (Madeira), Portugal 08:00 AM 05:00 PM
23 At Sea
24 Cadiz (Seville), Spain 07:00 AM 07:00 PM
25 Malaga, Spain 07:00 AM 06:00 PM
26 Alicante, Spain 10:00 AM 05:00 PM
27 Barcelona, Spain 07:00 AM

Margo - we enjoyed our HAL Cruise - even if it was very short. Our room and service were very good and if you are a suite passenger, there was a special dining room for Breakfast/Lunch that was the Steakhouse at night.

Cindy, and anyone else on the Reykjavik-Southampton cruise, I am trying to arrange a CS Lewis tour of Belfast for the morning we arrive there. There is a man named Sandy Smith who does these every Sunday, but he is willing to do private tours as well. We just need to get a few other people so it would be economically feasible. It lasts 2 1/2 3 hrs, and I already told him we would need to be back at ship no later than 1 as we have a 1:45 ships tour.

The tours get good reviews. Anyone interested??

10 Bora Bora
11 At Sea
12 Aitutaki, Cook Islands

Susan - You and John have a great time! Looks like a spectacular cruise! Tell Dominique hello for us. Let us know how the reef in Moorea and Bora Bora is doing. Oh, if you see Michael the waiter (Daisy, from the bar staff is his wife) please give them a special hello from us. Thanks!

Kim and Alice,
I will pass along your greetings to Dominique and Michael. Wish you two were coming along. Will let you know how the reef is doing although I heard from someone recently that the Crown of Thorns is really taking over.

Pricilla,
I agree it will be interesting to see what if anything has changed on the PG since I was last there two years ago.

I promise to do a review upon my return.

Sue and Tom in Georgia,

I know you will enjoy your Coral Princess cruise, that is the first cruise we did and it was fun. Not as small as RSS ships (that is one reason we changed) but one of their smaller ships.

Have a great time - - Rod and Cynthia :bv:

WOOHOO! the upgrade fairy has struck and we are now in a category B penthouse butler suite. My husband wants to know what a butler does. I told him I have no idea, but am ready to find out.
