Wow, Margo, glad you like sea days! I realized on our Norway cruise that I really like them, too, it allowed me to sleep more than I have ever done on a ship!

Yeah!! Finally. We're on Voyager, Monte Carlo to Ft. Lauderdale, leaving Nov. 6.

Hey, Margo, we tried for your cruise but couldn't get it. Then, my darling mother-in-law (87 years old) asked if we would accompany her on this cruise (we call ourselves THE BODYGUARDS). So Alan and I and his sister are coming along with his mother. Can't wait!!

Margo, I guess you loved the 2003 cruise as much as we did. We will be on the Mariner Singapore to Sydney while you are on the Navigator. Our best to Tom.

Jody...yes, Tom loved that cruise...so we're doing it again. I know you and Kathy will love Singapore to Sydney - and you're on my favorite ship, the Mariner - have a wonderful time!

Donna, I wish you and Alan were coming along, but it sounds to me like you have a wonderful alternative - you'll have a few sea day too!

Olivia, yes...there are lots of sea days, but we always seem to find great things to keep us busy. I'm hoping Terry Breem will be the lecturer for this cruise. You can learn so many thing while your crusing.

Don, & I are on the Voyager, Nov. 6, Monte Carlo to Ft. Lauderdale, too. A family friend is joining us also. We're looking forward to spending a pre-cruise for a week in Italy and Switzerland....going to spend a day at my school which is tucked away in the Swiss alps-lake district. (I'm really excited about visiting there after so many years have passed.) Then on to the Voyager! Looking forward to meeting you, Donna, on the Voyager! -- Michele

Kristin and Andrea...thanks, yes, sometimes I pinch myself, never thought I go to these wonderful island, even once...but some how, we're going back again...would you believe we've been to Nuka Hiva three times...Tahiti 4?

I always throw a lei into the wake of our ship as we sail away.... with a wish to return - so far it's worked!

Kristin - I'm sure you'll enjoy the Caribbean just as much!

Eugene...your cruise sounds wonderful...I wish we could just keep sailing south on the Navigator and catch up with you!

Margo, Kathy and I did the LA to FLL last year and loved it (on the Mariner). Our daughter was along and insisted that we do some of the more athletic activites. I think you would like the white water rafting in Acapulco, the ATVs in Huatulco and the canopy tour (zip lining through the trees). You are adventurous and athletic enough for all of them. The canal was great and terribly interesting.

Enjoy.

Jody...I've been thinking about the shore excursions. After reading the MINT reports I realized there are lots of "athletic" possibilities. Thanks for the suggestions, I'm always ready for a little adventure!

You have some wonderful excursion opportunities on your cruise as well. The Great Barrier Reef is so amazing, even if you only snorkle. And if you're not afraid of heights, you've got to climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Actually, on your itinerary you're going to have too many choices! Life's great when you have those kinds of challenges. :)

Margo, we really enjoyed the "athletic" excursions, except for the sea kayaks in Cabo. Kathy and I brought up the rear of our group both out to the beach and back again. That is the one that I would not repeat.

If you have not gone through the canal before, I suggest that you and Tom get up early for the first locking and watch the night operations and the sum rising over the suspension bridge.

I know that you'll love the trip.

Please let me know how the Navigator compares to the Mariner, as my sister is considering a Greek isles cruise on her next year.

My best,

Jody

Michele, your pre-cruise sounds fun. I'll be interested in hearing about it. Looking forward to meeting you, too. I thought several others indicated they were also on this cruise. Where are they? I figured we'd have enough to name this cruise!?!

Marnalou, I agree that your itinerary is the best of all.

We will be sailing Royal Carib's Voyager from Cape Liberty, 11/18-11/26. We did the same 8 day cruise last year; it was great, so many enjoyable sea days. Thank you, Katherina and Armand.

I thought that perhaps I had a memory problem!... But thanks, Donna, I, too, thought there were many more on our cruise/crossing! In fact, I recall someone counted as many as 19 of us! confused

There are some wonderful cruises mentioned here! Love them all. Can't wait to read about everyone's experiences!- Michele

Margo and MarnaLou, sure wish we could be gone as long as you. Sounds really exciting.

I think I know now the key to getting to take really long cruises. You just have to have a name that starts with the letters MAR...

you know like MARcie!!! LOL

Just out of curiosity, does anyone on the Auckland to LA cruise play bridge? Gretchen doesn't, and I haven't played for years but would like to try play some on sea days.

For those of you going Auckland to LA:

If you're flying through LAX and if you have a 4-5 hour layover in LAX :( don't forget if you're *A Gold or better you get to use the NZ Gold lounge at T2 in LAX...very nice :woh: . As a result, Gretchen and I will be able to pair that card with our NZ tickets (same day) to use the Gold lounge in T2. A A* member gold card also allows priority security screening and boarding. Every little bit helps ;) .

Any of you that are going to be in Auckland for a couple of days pre-cruise might want to check out

http://www.potikiadventures.com/main_TripInfo.htm

They have some very interesting trips and are very accommodating. We're planning on doing their Urban Maori tour Saturday the 19th and Marine Reserve on Monday. When I told them our schedule they indicated they could do the Marine Reserve on Sunday so we could have our day of departure free (we want to go our to Ranitoto and walk around CBD).

We are cruising on the Voyager 11/28, the Eastern Carib. Anybody going on this cruise? It may be a WAA! :(

You too Hawaiidan!!!! can't wait eh!

Now it is down to days, only 51 before we too leave for the Monte Carlo - FLL. It'll be here before you will believe it. Already planning which clothes to take and living the cruise vicariously through reports on this and other boards.

Take care.

Same here, Betty. Can't wait until it's our turn. Won't be long.
