P.S. Re laundry service: Tom is threatning to show up with a suitcase of dirty clothes and just turn it over for washing/ironing on day 1. How tacky is that!! (luckily he's only kidding) [/QB]
hey then Tony could iron it for him. ;)

I am looking at Ngaire's rates for that 2007 Osaka-Hong Kong trip that Masaki is on. Is it a typo that past Radisson and new Radisson passengers pay the same?? That DOES look like a neat trip! :)

Not a typo. There's no Society Savings on that cruise, which we are also booked on. There is a discount because it is a "group" cruise, however. We have also tenatively booked the next segment to Bangkok, and it does have a SS.

Marcie and Joanna, rats! Too bad that your itinerary got absconded with by a charter group. When that happens and you already have booked, what does RSSC do, i.e., do they offer for you to move to another cruise at the same price or something similar?

Sheri, we're booked on Osaka-Hong Kong also, plus the segment prior to that one (Seward-Osaka). The Seward-Osaka segment is 2 for 1 and has an SS discount(I guess it's kind of like a transatlantic only this is transpacific).

Peggy,
I am keeping that itinerary in my list of "maybe" cruises. If I don't do Norway, maybe I will do that one. I am really looking forward to meeting you and your husband in Singapore this year !!! A "little birdie" told me that you are a delight to be with!!! :)

I'm so glad all of you will be joining us! Soon we will be eligible for a name for the cruise, right? October 6 is Grant's birthday so it's nice that he'll have a group of friends to celebrate with in Istanbul. You can all treat him to "all-inclusive" drinks! :pass:

Looks like Mary Ellen & Jim are in 649.

We might already be eligible to name this - I'm not sure what the standard is.

Peggy - thought you were booked on CROSS in November 2007, doesn't the Osaka-Hong Kong conflict with that?

This Oct cruise sounds so great, but its too close to CROSS, which we've booked on. :mecry: :mecry:

JoAnn--the Osaka to Hong Kong cruise ends in mid-October (around the 10th), and the transatlantic cruise from Monte Carlo doesn't start until the 27th. That's plenty of time for us to find our way from Hong Kong to Monte Carlo. Haven't thought much about it, but we'll probably want to go home for a few days in between to recuperate before we head out again. One conflict with Cross--our kids want to do a family cruise for Thanksgiving in 2007. If we do that, the cruise would leave either Nov. 17 or 18. That would conflict with the transatlantic portion of Cross. So we may end up just doing Monte Carlo to Funchal. We'll just have to see how things work out--there's just too many good choices out there!

Aahahh! Got it, somehow I thought the Osaka - Hong Kong portion was later in Oct. You mention the 27th, are you doing that 7 night portion from Rome to Monte Carlo too? That sounded so tempting, completely different itinerary from our Monte Carlo to Rome portion last year. Well, just have to see how the funds work out!!

Why don't you just have the family come down and jump onboard Voyager on the 19th, for their 11 night Thanksgiving cruise? By then you'll own the ship!! :D <img border="0" alt="[vhappy]" title="" src="graemlins/icon_vhappy.gif" />

Well in any case, will look forward to meeting you on at least the Med portion of CROSS.

JoAnn--I did say the 27th, I was looking at the Navigator schedule. The Voyager cruise starts on Nov. 3--even better for regenerating after Osaka-Hong Kong and before we head off to Europe. That's a great idea to have the kids get on the Voyager, but unfortunately, the 11 days knocks that one out. One of our sons is a doctor, one is a executive in a high pressure business and the youngest is an officer in the Navy--they're lucky if they can get even seven days off--not to mention the grandkids school schedule. A seven day cruise out of Galveston where most of us can drive to the port is the only thing that works right now.

Peggy - you and Jerry should stay on the ship in Hong Kong. We are booked Hong Kong - Bangkok!

Hmm--have to think about that. That's still a possibility since we don't have air yet. But either way, we'll have to try to get together in Hong Kong--I think the ship is there for two days.
