We will escort a trip on the Silversea Prince Albert ll as long as the trip goes to South Georgia Island in the January/February peak time frame.

I have a waitlist for this in my data base already. If you want to post here or send me an email if you are interested I will add you to the list. This is one we need to book as soon as it opens.

Nice to have a thread set up for information for the future.

No idea yet Betty the schedules and prices are not even going to be out for a year. Just a preliminary list to see interest levels and save the time frames for the cruises that the LCT people want.

Add us to the list. The Prince Albert II is the old Society Expeditions World Discoverer which we considered for a cruise to Antarctica in 2002.

please put me and my sister Marcia on the list.
We're on Le Boreal this Dec., but if the s supp is not 100% and I survive the Drake, it would be great

This is the wrong place for this but I don't know where else to put it. Any plans for an escorted Polar Bear trip? If so, I'm on.

Not the wrong place Diane, this is actually trying to get an idea of people's interest for 2012.

If you mean to Churchill probably not in the near future. 2011 is packed, and 2012 is already shaping up. Only so many things we can do and many of these types of unique trips like the Polar Bears or Nile are often going to be a one time thing.

Ngaire knows already but I definitely want to do Antarctica again. I will be solo, so if there's a 100% ss maybe we can talk about being roomies Betty.

Ngaire,Are you still considering a 2012 Russian River cruise or are you only doing 2011?
We and our friend Dick are thinking about it if its for 2012....our 2011 is full up(well almost full).

Not sure yet about 2012 Russian river cruise. First I need to check it out in 2011. Some of the people who originally wanted 2012 have booked for 2011 now so there may not be the demand in 2012.

Plus I already have Silversea Antarctica, a Safari, and Nile 2 in 2012. I usually only do one trip that is not a regular cruise.

Will just have to see what develops.

September 2012 not sure about camps yet overflow from some who wanted 2011 and could not do it and others that have contacted me for a future group. Mostly first timers. Will not be a big group like ROAR, ROAR 2 or ROAR 3. Can only do those once every couple of years.

I just received confirmation that Silversea's Prince Albert ll will be doing a 17 night South Georgia/Antarctica cruise starting on January 13 - January 30th. Perfect timing for peak penguin activity. So with that confirmed Ken and I will definitely be escorting this cruise.

I have a waitlist in place and I think everyone knows about this cruise from my flyer but thought I would post confirmation of the date and that it will take place.

Bookings are supposed to open in October or early November and I will be sending in the booking list before we leave for TUT on October 2nd.

If there is anyone else who is interested they do need to contact me and waitlist for an option booking to get the the type of cabin they want. I know this sold out very quickly last year as I was contemplating doing this in 2011 and by the time I called about a group contract it was sold out. Not going to have that happen to us in 2012 I am going to be ahead of the curve this time.

We did this itinerary with Ngaire on the Hanseatic. It is the best trip we've ever taken and likely ever will take. It will be even better on Silversea IF the weather god's smile.

We are so looking forward to this trip!

We almost booked this trip on this ship when it was run by Society Expeditions in 2002. We went on Mariner to the Caribbean instead. ;)

Is it too early to start a roll call?

Twenty Nine on the waitlist but all wont end up depositing then others may join later.

I do LOVE this ship, it is to me my new SONG OF FLOWER with much better cabins. It feels like home. Has a wonderful observation lounge to play pooch in during the day with great views that very few people use.

What makes it special too is the expedition team that were almost identical from my first to second trip. Really outstanding not a boring one amongst them.

The food too is really good - always important.

Really looking forward to going back always been one of my favorite trips, that and South Africa.

I love the sound of that, Ngaire. My only negative memory of the Song was the tiny shower and shower curtain.

No pricing yet Marc it all comes out at the same time.

I agree Beth, the bathroom was terrible on the Song. We even had the A quite a bit with two bathrooms but still so small. That is what I did not like about the Salacia in Egypt either that ship has even smaller bathrooms than the Song. Two of them again but still so small.

The Prince Albert ll has a full size bathtub/shower even in the smallest cabin.
