Everyone has posted such fantastic photos on Roar II. Here are a couple of scenes from Lion Sands Private Game Reserve that I thought everyone might find interesting. The first is a lioness that is stalking Kudu in the thick brush near our lion sighting.

The chase is on, but I lost her in the brush.

The next scene is also at Lion Sands. This is Harry the Hippo who thinks he is an acrobat, he does a 360 right in front of us.

Great shot of Harry - especially #4 - maybe he's working on his synchronized swimming routine?

Great shots, Ken. The hippo twirling in the water makes me laugh. Boy, he's got one big mouth!

Wonderful, Ken! You really captured the "stalk"!! That was an exciting morning game drive for us. I LOVE Harry's 360!! How on earth did you keep from laughing while taking these shots? Absolutely terrific.

The best thing of all is that I can BUY them! I go to Africa with my friends, Ngaire and Ken, and it is now becoming very comfortable not even to bring my camera! Nah, I won't do that just yet! Too much fun trying to keep up with him, even though I know I can't!

They are just great, Ken! Thank you, thank you!

Ken and Ngaire must have the photo and animal siting mojo. We spent 4 days at Lions Sands and never saw Harry do more than lie there asleep. Great photos.

Heh heh .. yep, Harry #4 had me thinking "is he trying out for our synchronized swimming team? And just how will we smuggle him onto the ship?"

Beautiful photos, Ken. Thanks for giving us a sneak peek.

Pleasure, Anne

And Harry is not even wearing one of those silly nose-clips one sees so frequently on synchronized swimmers... Keep practicing, Harry; the 2012 Olympics are only a few years away. (By the way, as the synchro swimming is, as I understand, limited to ladies, is it possible that Harry might actually be "Harriet"??)

As always, Ken, your photos are in a very high class of their own.

Cheers, Fred
