Is anyone interested in going to www.bukhara.com on September 16? On ROAR I, a bunch of us did this and had a great time! At first, we thought we wanted to order a la carte, and had to separate our tables to avoid the "group" menu. Then we liked the group menu so much, we put the tables back together again! Course after course, we thought the food would never stop coming! Very reasonable pricing. Don't know who exactly is going to be in town that night.

Michele, I thought you & Don joined us!! It truly was a great dinner - I was stressed because the group got bigger and bigger, but everyone enjoyed it so much. I will have to see if I have any photos.
Just think of me while you're enjoying the fabulous food!!

I tried finding pictures today. There were some wonderful ones of Suzanne and the Sistahs and Peggy! I think they were showing food. But I couldn't find them!
I know we can't call on Ken pictures for this one, as Ngaire DOES NOT LIKE Indian food!
Andrea was in charge of this dinner on ROAR I, and did a great job!

We would have loved to, but Mark's surgery has put a halt to a lot of different foods. We'll live vicariously.

I thought that is the way it would be, Pam! We will miss you! I don't think you did it last time either? Some people really hate Indian food (Ngaire is one). I am hoping Fred and Pat will join us, as they love it (as I remember they and Suzanne had a special custom Indian dinner on Silversea)! But alas, they may be at Birkenhead that night. On ROAR I, we traveled as a "pack", probably why we had such a big group. But this one is growing!

Rats, indeed, we will be at Hermanus (not exactly in purgatory) when you all are enjoying Indian grub at Bukhara. Well, we will just have to make our own LCT night at Bukhara on one of our nights in Capetown. It is one of the places we'd planned to visit (Pat is not a great fan of Indian cuisine but will tolerate it while I absolutely love it). Ah, sweet thoughts of lovely vindaloos with curried cauliflower, followed by grand platters of tandoori lamb, chicken, and shrimp. And, to finish, sweet rice pudding or gulab jamun with rose water. Could life be better in Capetown? Well, we know where we will be on at least one of our four nights in Capetown, don't we??

Don't forget the Riesling! I may have the plate of food photo...I'll check later. It was a fabulous dinner but very long.

Leonard and I wish we could join you all but we'll be at Birkenhead that evening. Maybe we'll need to put Bukhara on our list for when we're in Cape Town. We're also interested in going to Africa Cafe.
We can't wait for this trip!

Boo Hoo -- we wish we were going to be there, we loved Bukhara when we were there for ROAR I. Olivia, maybe you and I can go there the night before we go to Birkenhead in November.

Any others who want to join us for this dinner? I will probably reserve it through the hotel in Capetown after we get there. Not going to go through the deposit thing. Anyone who replied they are coming and will not, please let me know!
ROAR 2 is right around the corner! I think Ngaire is in the air right now to do some snooping in Europe of river ships!
