Poor Marcie! It looks like she handled it with grace, style and good humor.
Extra time in Boston is wonderful.

Boston is fine with us too. Even the pilot from Bar Harbor is still on board and won't be leaving the ship until Boston. The staff is wonderful changing the schedule so quickly, adding trivia and bingo this morning and already organizing tours for Boston. They area getting good at this! I don't think much fazes them any more.
Wonderful food so far. The poor staff in La Veranda is always slammed at lunch time because it is too cold to use the pool deck much, but they have handled it beautifully, even when some of us changed tables 3 times, moving to a larger table each time more LCTers came up for lunch.
Mary Ellen and Jim are coming on board today so it will be great to see them. Tried to get a hold of Andrea but couldn't reach her. We'll miss you Andrea!

Good to hear that the Destination Staff is making changes for you all. Enjoy sunny Boston.
Arlene, Andrea is in Australia right now. She has been posting on her Andrea's Adventures page on Facebook.

Jim & Mary Ellen are on board...both look terrific. They were waiting to get on when our tour bus pulled up. So good to see them.
We went on 2 hour bus tour of Boston & Cambridge. What a wonderful nice city and a perfect introduction for us. The sun was shining and temperature 61, just perfect.
Yesterday we toured Acadia National Park but the fog set in so we couldn't get the panoramic views from afar. It sure is a pretty park and trees were gorgeous...even close up. Coming home on the tender I got drenched, when a wave surprised me. Oh well...nothing an Irish coffee and hot shower didn't fix. LOL.
Tonight will be fun, pre-dinner Liar's Club, cocktails and dinner for 10 with Mary Ellen & Jim on board. Unfortunately Carla is sick so she & Frank couldn't make it on board. I wish we had known we would be in Boston. We would love to have seen Kim, Alice, Andrea too !! It gives us another good reason to return here.
Next port will be NYC where we'll see Andi & Doug and we have friends and relatives coming to see us. Always something neat to look forward to but this cruise is going waaaay too fast. WAAAAH!

I'm so glad to hear Marcie's report of an enjoyable day in Boston. Yes, it's beautiful today. We just returned from a 5-mile walk.
I did ask Susan if Alice and I could get on board to visit this evening, but not possible at such short notice.

We are so excited to see folks in NY. We're coming on board for lunch and staying, hopefully, for trivia. Love that pic of Marcie. How can someone look pretty when they are being slapped in the face with water???

Great price... great pax... and very cool itinerary. It would be soooooo FUN! BUT, there's no way we can do NILE 2 returning on March 25 and then a 17-night cruise departing on April 14. Sure, we'd LOVE to, but, nope ... not going to happen. :( Shorter ski trips?? WUT??? No way!! :p Instead, we will be loving your Sea Mail!!

It was wonderful to see everyone. The "diversion" to Boston allowed us to have a "mini" cruise day. We arrived in time for tea and trivia. We won! Mark happily acquired our cards for his growing stash. We had time to visit with Ngaire and Ken, Arlene and Mark, Tom and Marcie, Ralph, Olivia, Mary Elaine and David, Peggy and Jerry. They had a liar's club before dinner. Compass Rose was excellent and then off to Stars for after dinner conversation and a chance to greet the other members of the LCT group. All in all a wonderful way to spend a day. And...........we signed up for Taj Mahal while we were with Ngaire.

It was great to see Jim and Mary Ellen and we're looking forward to spending time with Doug and Andi tomorrow. Doug--I'll play trivia with you anytime! Sorry we didn't get to see Kim and Alice, but we did have a drink in your honor with Mark, Arlene and Olivia at lunch yesterday. The sun is out again today which makes things so much better--hopefully it will continue to get warmer as we go south.

We are so sorry we missed seeing everyone. What a nice sunny day here. If Carla was feeling better we would of drove our boat to the mouth of the canal and watched the Navigator go through, that would of been a site to see... A little chilly for a boat ride but it would of been worth it. Glad everyone is enjoying themselves..

Thanks so much for thinking of me - I would have loved to have seen everyone, but we already had our trip to Australia planned for October when CANADA was being booked. Hope you all had a wonderful time in beautiful Boston & that the weather was nice. In your free time you can check out our trip to Australia here. I need to update my land mail post but we having been going like energizer bunnies the last few days!

Ok, here's the plan: Meeting Ngaire & Ken early and taking them up to the beautiful Hudson Valley as well as Casa de Agua. Perhaps a quick viewing of Clinton's home. After the tour, which is all included (by the way), back to the ship for a lunch and visiting with any and all of you who are not otherwise out and about in the greatest city in the world! We should be able to join everyone for Trivia... I will be on Peggy's team. After our team wins, Andi & I will need to leave (sob) and wish you all a wonderful trip for the remaining days!
Hope to see all of you!

We were up before 6:00 this morning for the sail in to NYC. Magnificent with the Manhattan skyline on one side and the Statue of Liberty on the other. It was dark and with the wind chill cold. Regent man walked around with cups of hot chocolate which was a nice touch. After getting so cold, we resorted to the gym and watched through the large windows. It was a special morning. Last night dinner with Wendy & Frank and 2 other couples they're traveling with. Great time. Ray Solaire had a pre-dinner show which was another hit, the theater was packed. Tom G. got some great pictures. Larry, I was able to give yours & Karen's regards to Michael & Stephanie. They're leaving the ship today and will be spending time at home in Manhattan...how convenient. Michael will be back on the Navigator Dec. 22nd (originally scheduled for Mariner but switched due to Stephanie's schedule). Stephanie will be in Fullerton with her parents for Xmas but hopes to join the ship by New Years. Ray Solaire is on until later November. We're off to meet our friends/relatives who are visiting on board. We're excited to see Andi & Doug as well and they're staying on for trivia. Tonight Prime 7 with Harry & Marilyn Howell (former hockey play for NY Rangers). Having a great cruise!

Love those pics, thanks so much for posting! We're stalking y'all on two different web cams and it looks like it's warming up nicely now that the sun has come out!
Would love to see some pics of the Intrepid, which appears to be right next to you -- anyone? Thanks!

Just watching Norwegian Gem pull out. Got a GREAT webcam to watch it on. If any of you are starboard side (and I'm sure you will be, to watch Statue of Liberty) -- get on deck 11 and wave -- we will definitely see you as you sail out. This is the coolest webcam ever!: http://nyharborwebcam.com/

Karen, I just like how this web cam actually pans along while each ship leaves. I've never seen that before. Celebrity is out, next up: Navigator!

Today began a bit grey, but we found three sunny people...Ngaire, Ken an Ralph...standing at the taxi stand waiting for us this morning for their free, all inclusive tour of Westchester County, NY. The tour included a crowded, yet not too uncomfortable 45 minute tour north from the city including such sites as Doug's first home, the GW bridge, Gil's old apartment, the Cloisters, views of the Hudson River, views of the scenic NJ Palisades, Reader's Digest, Bill and Hillary's house (they weren't in to greet us), a shot past Margo's old neighborhood, and down through the Clinton's Chappaqua, happy Pleasantville and a stop for snacks and beverages at Casa de Agua. After an historic house tour and the petting zoo of the dogs, Toby and Molly, we headed back down to Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, the Rockefeller estate (they weren't in either) and Doug's old boarding school. Then our all inclusive non cruise began with lunch on the Navigator's la Veranda restaurant where we could eat outside thanks to mother nature warming up and sending us blue skies. It was wonderful seeing everyone and hugs and kisses were shared all around. Our table at lunch got bigger and bigger as folks got back from their tours and joined. It was great seeing Marcie's family and Tom G's family. Folks said this has been one the best trips ever and seemed ever so happy. We joined them up in trivia, but, sadly, after one or two clues the announcement came that all guests had to leave the ship. We said our goodbyes and it made it seem better that we would soon be seeing some in a couple of months on Zodiac. However, for others, it won't be until 2013 that we will see them again. Such a wonderful day! Thank you Ngaire and Ken for making this happen.
