My cat was unpacking as I was packing. It was cute at first, then annoying :) I don't mind packing as much as I mind unpacking when you get home!

Hi everyone. My husband and I will be at the Sheraton Sunday evening also, are there plans for meeting up Sunday or Monday? Any ideas on what to do in Ft. Lauderdale Monday? Suit cases are out.

We are finally packed. Scuba equipment in one big suitcase, clothes in 2 carry-on suitcases, the extraneous stuff in 2 backpacks. Every dive trip I think I'll never be able to get it all in the one big suitcase. Somehow it goes in. No cats... maybe that's why! :D

No skiing this trip, JoAnn! LOL! But, maybe if we were stopping in Jamaica we'd try bobsledding!

Hi Sue, maybe some of the Florida LCTers can give you some suggestions for Monday? There are some really good seafood restaurants but living in San Diego, you probably have plenty of those to choose from!

We will be there on Sunday afternoon and would be in for dinner. Could we all meet in the lobby or bar at sometime ( maybe 5:50 or 6?

Susan, we have a reservation at Bravos for Sunday night at 7:30. Maybe you can see who else is interested in dinner and start up another table since we are already at 9 people for ours.
I think SueK was asking in a post above but I am not sure what time they will be in town.

We will be arriving about 8:30 Sunday evening if all goes well. Is that too late to meet up with anyone?

We're off to a great start! A flight attendant just gave us a bag with a bottle of wine, snacks, corkscrew and waters!!! "For tonight", she says!

Don't feel alone, no suitcases out here yet either. We've had family/grandkids visiting and packing won't happen until tomorrow and we leave early Sunday.

That's OK, we've gotten fast and it never takes us long. I hate to pack and I think subconsciously I find other things to do delaying it as long as possible. :D

Does anyone know the scoop on parking at the pier? I have a client that asked me to post here for any advice you can give. The web gives a lot of information too but if anyone can share some words of wisdom he would appreciate.

Ngaire, Park 'N Fly has a lot for cruise parking right at the entrance to Port Everglades. Very convenient -- drivers help with your luggage and take you right to your embarkation area. It may even be a little cheaper than port parking. You can make advance booking which is good for busy times. For info: http://www.pnf.com/ftlauderdale/porteverglades.htm

We've used several times and always pleased (latest was on our December Voyager cruise).

Best wishes to all on FUN2. I'm sure you will have a great time.

Bobby

Victor,
Sorry you guys won't be with us at the B&K/Regent dinner. Very very likely we'll meet up with you in the bar Monday night. When LCT'ers pick a hotel, having a friendly bar gathering spot is a #1 priority cheer .

See everyone soon. Happy New Year !!

Anyone know if we need cruise docs to get through security at the port? As Regent no longer provides the "card" to turn in at check-in; I have conveniently missplaced my docs. I will find them if needed but would love to leave them behind.

Marc:
While I don't know what Port Security will want, I can tell you that on Dingo Regent asked for the paper cruise schedule that was part of the doc package. Don't know why. Would have thought that a passport was enough to locate us in their computer.
I'm guessing that Port Security would be happy enough with your passport. But one never know what these security folk will want.

Marc - I just cruised on the Allure out of Port Everglades and I had left my docs in the trunk of the taxi. I just showed my passport and had no problem.

We're finishing up our packing and are headed to South Beach tomorrow. See you all on Monday!!

It's a beautiful day here in the Big Mouse House! Probably 75 degrees. We're in the for 2nd ride on Big Thunder Mt. Not as crowded as we thought it would be-- probably lots of hangovers and people getting slow starts this a.m.!

HAppy New Year everyone ! SAfe travels all FUN2ers!!
