We and many others from DFW and Austin had a great time at Ngaire and Ken's house last weekend. She and Regent hosted a party for us locals and provided some great perks for booking future cruises (but we'd have gone anyway even without that, just to see Ngaire). Now we're trying to talk her into having a party for everyone around the world sometime next year so Regent can give us all incentives for 2011. Who'd be willing to fly into DFW for a Worldwide Regent cruise party at Ngaires next year? You could even spend some time to come over to Fort Worth to see the world famous Longhorn Cattle Stroll and visit Billy Bob's honky tonk--a real slice of the old west. Someone can even stay at our house--we'll get you to the party. Post if you want to do this.
Oh, by the way--this is my 1000th post--a special one to be sure cheer

We are so sorry that we couldn't make it to the party last weekend, I heard everyone had a ball!

To party with Ken and Ngaire and the entire staff , Carol and I would be there. We have friends in Dallas we would impose upon to provide a room. Easy plane ride from LA area. Start twisting Ngaire's arm.

We weren't invited but we too would have come. Glad everyone had such a great time! If something is planned for next year, we'll do our best to be there.

We attended Ngaire's reception and met everyone, and I can't remember the last time we had so much fun. In fact, if we didn't live here, I'd definitely fly here to go to another one of Ngaire & Ken's parties! It was such a treat to meet Ngaire & Ken, the B&K staff and so many LCTers and fellow Regent lovers.

Hey Peggy, congrats on your 1000th post!!! cheer It was special, indeed.

This was the third event with Regent in Dallas since I have been a Travel Agent. Not a common thing.

First was when the Voyager was being built and Dag came to town to promote the ship. That was a joint event with all Travel Agents in Dallas and their clients.

I have the best Regent rep and she organized a special luncheon last year just for B&K clients and it was very nice.

She suggested doing a luncheon again but I felt we had done that and so I wanted to make it a little more special so we did a party at my house. We made the decision to do this only about two weeks before the event and it was a very rushed situation.

I thought briefly about asking out of Texas people as there were so many I would like to have had there. However, I felt it would not be worth you flying in and the next day was Ken's Mothers 90th birthday party so we were totally unavailable the day after party to spend time with anyone who came in from out of town. Plus I was trying to get out of town for KOALA just a really busy time to pull together a last minute party.

I must admit I had a fantastic time. Went through lots of food, wine, drinks, and a bottle and half of Amarula. It was a lot of fun and we saw the video of all the refurbishments on the Voyager and Mariner.

With some early planning so I am not trying to do this last minute and no other major family gathering at the same time we could consider doing this right before 2011 comes out.

Please put Carol and I on the list for 2011. God willing and if the creek does not rise we will be there. Would be especially fun to meet the staff we have not met and see others we do not get to see that often.

I would bet it would not take too long for the sign up list to make enough to name the Party.

I would suggest GALA.

A pin might be difficult but will leave that up to the powers that be. Something else to look forward to. It is always good to have something special to look forward to. Keeps us all young.

I told Ngaire that if she built it, they would come :D She can correct me, but if this happens, it would be sometime in early 2010, after the 2011 schedules come out, right? And to those of you who may have only seen DFW airport, just wait till you see the rest of the area (not to mention the cowboys, Yee-Haw!!!)

Ngaire I never gave a thought to your "local area" INVITE LIST - sure made sense to me to keep it local and semi small short notice - 2011 sounds great - but you know not many of need any excuse to see you and Ken, fly to TX, but this gives you/partiers lots of planning time - J

GALA????? Ralph you teapot collector! great name!

I hate to fly, but we'd likely have to fly from Florida for that kind of bash. OR: How about we chip in and fly Ngaire and Ken to Florida (first class, of course) and have a party for her Florida clients somewhere around here! Pat and I have a great house for a party south of Sarasota, and volunteer our place.

Heck, we'd love either or both! Sarasota would be great, and we'd also love to go to Dallas.

We're probably piling way too much on Ngaire and Ken, but they've built this monster by always having such great groups!

Sounds like a winner.

BTW do you ever go to that huge flea market at Hartsville?

If so, maybe we could meet for lunch one day when the weather gets a bit warmer as I think our English nephew would enjoy the Amish countryside.

Cheers! Ray & Penny

We'll keep fingers crossed that this works out! It would be so great to see so many LCTers in Dallas -- and it goes without saying that Ngaire and Ken throw a great party. We had a wonderful time at their house last weekend!

Greetings from Orlando...Sarasota is just down the road from Toronto...just a hop...been there many times...BUT Dallas is a whole new ballgame.I am ready for a Texas hoe-down . All I have to get are a pair of cowboy boots...have a white Stetson if I can find it.

We will be at Old Key West Resort till march 7th ..soooo if there are any LCTers in the area please let me know and we can arrange to meet for a drink or two.

March 8th we will be cruising from Miami for 12 days to the Eastern Carribean.

Looking forward to a BIG "D" Dallas party.
cheer

We'd drive down from Lubbock. I love visiting the DFW area but can never talk Ted into it unless we have a "reason".
