WooHoo, Karen. Love the Canyon Ranch Spa at The Venetian Las Vegas. Tho I havent been on Regent for a couple of years, I am booked on Oceania next year and they also have Canyon Ranch. This is great news for spa lovers.

Karen, thanks for alerting us (you just gave me the info for a new blog post :) . This is fabulous. Canyon Ranch has an excellent reputation. Of course it was started in Tucson, although I have never been to it. Can't wait to experience this on a Regent ship.

This sounds like a good addition. I hope that the fitness facilities and programs will be improved - they are currently decent but in my mind could be better. Spa Cuisine will also be a good option to balance my usual overindulgence. :)

The QM2 has Canyon Ranch and I had the best at-sea massages I ever had on that ship in November 2004. The masseuses were experts in all types of massages including Tai and Shiatsu. This is a great addition to Regent.

Great news! I've been to Canyon Ranch in Tucson and the spa treatments, fitness offerings and food are fantastic.

I guess it all depends on the skills of the individual provider. I had a massage at the Canyon Ranch at the Venetian in Las Vegas this summer, and found it didn't come close to either what I've gotten from the Carita provider on RSSC, or the day spa at home. The spa itself seemed nice--I just found the massage disappointing.

I have been told by one of the girls who works in the Carita Spa on Voyager currently that the current spa staff are being offered contracts with Canyon Ranch. This would be excellent news as she is probably the best manicurist/esthetician I have ever encountered.

Anything is better than the Elemis and Steiner (same company). Elemis is on Princess, Holland and Oceania too. They try to sell you everything and the services can't compare with Carita.

Elemis was on Silversea, too, our last time sailing them. I agree with Kathy, they really do a hard sell. Not the kind of aura you want when you are trying to relax...
