Olivia, I think you know how passionate I am about travel and how fortunate and grateful I am to be employed by IHG. Working for this company has afforded Alan and me the incredible opportunity to stay in some of the finest properties in the world, at a very modest employee rate and sometimes, even free of charge. If it were not for being an IHG employee, we would be hard pressed to afford some of these properties.

This challenging economy has severly impacted hotel occupancies and revenue, imposing a huge strain on hotel budgets, impacting hotel staff’s hours, paychecks and job security. I work for a phenominal Regional Vice President of Operations for 6 IHG hotels. He is also the GM of my hotel. I have witnessed, first-hand, his agony and painstaking efforts, working within very tight budget constraints and his commitment to holding off on layoffs. He knows that people depend upon their jobs and incomes to survive.

With all this said, I am deeply indebted to IHG. IHG helps me earn disposable income to put towards those wonderful once a year trips I so feverishly work for and on. In my own way, through posting this promotion, and as one small link in a very, very long chain, I am hoping to build occupancies throughout our hotel chain, world-wide, in the hopes that others within IHG can be fortunate enough to also retain their jobs, earn a decent wage and even perhaps be lucky enough to save for a trip or two a year, visiting IHG properties either within the USA or elsewhere, throughout the world.

I don't travel enough other than Regent (like constantly for business} for those points to make a difference to me. They are just bonuses, and I don't even know my balance (small, I'm sure!) My main points are earned for airlines through my flying and spending without travel! They do bring me benefits, and for each of us, it is what works for us.

Unfortunately, booking at highly discounted rates - i.e. F&F - do not qualify for PC point earnings. For further clarification, I would review Priority Club Rewards

I weigh significant discounts vs. earning miles or points. Sometimes deeply discounted rates or fares will sway me. You just have to see which works out best to suit your needs at the time and if the monetary savings surpass the points or miles earned.

Speaking personally, I find it very hard to resist an excellent deal.

It's still too far out, but I keep hoping that I can use this for San Francisco, next May, before BEAR. There's a Holiday Inn on the Wharf that's calling my name.

Have booked HK before Dragon. Will probably add Singapore as soon as I can figure out the dates I want. Going to cambodia at end of cruise and back to Singapore than home

I checked my link today and saw that so many LCTers have gotten some fantastic rates on some outstanding IHG properties, all over the world. I'm hopeful that those who have booked will report back on their hotel stay experiences and overall property impressions.

Bah. I don't think it's going to work for us; the site says only 50 weeks in advance, and we'll be there right at the end of May. But I still appreciate the generosity!

Pam, are your reservation dates at the end of May, into the beginning of June? That could be the reason you can't book the F&F promo rate. The rates are good through May 31, 2010. If not, perhaps give it another try next week or so, as we enter May, when they might load the May 2010 dates, extending through the month.

I've received a couple of emails, asking for assistance in booking on the site.

The steps on the site are a tad confusing. When you go on, please read the conditions stated in step #1. Print the voucher in Step #2, after filling in the following:

After printing the voucher go to step #3. Do a search, according to your needs. The site will then bring up the hotels available and the rates. If you want to book, go ahead and complete the process. You will then get a confirmation number which you will fill in on the voucher that you printed. The voucher will need to be presented at check in.

I hope I've explained this clearly. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have presented. If you need further directive, please get back to me. No worries in helping. :)

Booking has been incredible. I do apologize. Between planning my daughter's baby shower, preparing for our trip to Provence, which is now 5 weeks out, a full time work schedule, and this promo, I'm going in a zillion directions.

I did a quick search for Crowne Plaza on Singer Island and found this Crowne Plaza property - Crowne Plaza West Palm Beach. I don't think it's the property you're referring to, but it may suit your needs. You may want to do a search, as well. Being unfamiliar with FL, there well may be other properties within the area you're looking for that I'm not picking up on.

Sorry to hear that that particular hotel is not part of IHG's portfolio any longer, Lynn. Perhaps there are other IHG properties within the same location.

What a great offer, thank you. Unfortunately there is only one hotel in Rio de Janeiro and the rates are much too high for our budget.( $450-1000 per night.)

kbella, You're very welcome. Good to hear that you were successful in booking a 2 night stay in Prague at a very substantially discounted rate. We stayed at the Prague InterCon last year and were very pleased. I believe this hotel was formerly a KGB headquarter. We searched, but could find no "bugs" (electronic or critter-type) in our suite :D

Eighteen days left to utilize the link and garner some great hotel deals. Afterwards, it's going bye-bye :( , unless an IHG employee personally arranges a discount in your behalf.

Denise, I have really tried to take advantage of this wonderful offer. Florida, CA, Europe, etc. and I guess I go to places that are either very expensive or there aren't any hotels there. Thank you so much for offering this to us.
