Hello, all you MUSH'ers. Yes, it is almost that time and Ngaire thinks the schedule may be out anytime now. Therefore, we need to get together an official list of participants. What I mean by that is that I need the correct first and last names for the passengers (not screen names). Please send me your first and last names via email to jharris@brownandkeene.com along with your screen name (so I can match you up to the MUSH list that we have), as soon as possible. It would also help to have some way to identify you as a past passenger, i.e. your DOB, Seven Seas Society Number, or Passport Number will work. THANK YOU VERY MUSH, I mean MUCH. hee-hee.

If you are a MUSH'er then make some kind of "I'm going" comment, so that this topic stays active. Thanks, again.

It's starting to sound 'real' now and I haven't even been on my first cruise! What if I get seasick?

Lee, you won't get sick! Most of these waters are very protected. Nothing like the Bass Strait down your way. They dispense meclazine aboard, and Dr.'s office has shots available if one is REALLY sick.

Julie, I'm in!

When I get the dates of the Alaskan Cruises I will let you know then we can VOTE on the preferred date - majority rules. Once the date is set then you can decide if that works for you. I suggest one date end of August to Sept and then one in the summer for those who need a summer date. Mush 1 and Mush 2.

Obviously all you regular B&K clients we know who you are with your real names but sometimes a screen names may not ring a bell if that is all that is on the list although I think most of you have your names on the list. Also "friends" of LCT members we need their proper names also. I have not checked that yet just passed this to Julie. Thank heaven for Julie.

I am making arrangements with RSSC to make the bookings the minute the books open.

Seven Seas Society number is your passenger ID number. Not the same as your gold points number.

This is a dumb question, but where is the SSS number located? Is it the same as our Goldpoints number?

Marc, don't we all? The year I was on the Voyager shakedown cruise, the cruise consultant had the schedules exactly this week in March, not yet public. They came out within a couple of weeks. Last year was worse, and I think it was April at least before we got the official schedules. Radisson REALLY needs to work on this! Since I am already on PARTY (going into January 2006, ROAR in April 2006 and MUSH in September 2006, I think I just may bide my time and see what comes up with Silversea for 2006 closer to cruising time. Looks like I am already "booked" for 2006 unless something really special piques my interest!

Editing to say that I have NO idea why I am rambling on about this here...way off topic. But I like to respond to marc's brief posts with not so brief ones of my own! But it does bring the thread to the top for Julie!

Claudia, If they keep the schedule similar to this years, the cruises will probably be 7 days.

Hi All,I will be going, in my own cabin and my friend Carole will be going and needs her own cabin. I hope the weather will be ok for the time we sail along with enough daylight. Anyone know about the weather for early fall? My TA is putting doubts in my head about going so late in the season. Macy

To put everyones mind at ease I have been to Alaska late in the season twice and actually had great weather both time. Last year the very last cruise was fantastic weather. Linda was on that trip and their weather was wonderful. You just never know though the weather is unpredictable.

Our (Freddie & I) first cruise was Alaska on Princess. Last cruise of the season in early September. Ship was tired--going for a six-month rehab somewhere in Asia after we disembarked. Crew was very unhappy--end of their run and they had been informed most (English & Italian) would have to "re-up" at a lower salary since Princess was heavily recruiting in the Philippines. We had a BLAST. We had great weather on every day in port with the exception of some light rain in Juneau. But the best part was we had most ports either to ourselves or we shared with only one other ship. So an end-of-season cruise to Alaska has some merits. We'd prefer end-of-season to the crowded prime-season alternatives.

I dont have any pricing but as I understand it the cruises are all going to be 7 days long and be Wednesday to Wednesday - and the dates for the last two cruises will be August 30 and September 6. It is my calculated "guess" that both these dates will be priced the same and at discount to all other dates. If this is the case we just need to decide - August 30 (Southbound) or Sept 6 (Northbound) I hope these rates come out soon so I can get all this done before I leave. In fact I think I will post a poll for those two dates. The best way to handle this is majority rules. The date that gets the most votes wins. It is a start and at least we can fine tune the date and get that part done. If there is a difference in price (unlikely) then we can "regroup".

As to MUSH 2 in the summer those that want that should probably get some idea of their prospective dates and we should post a poll for the summer date also. We may need to see rates for that first as there could be some variance there.
