Just received a phone call from Julie Rodriguez n.Harris and we've been upgraded to a Category B (from C) for our 19 May Tahiti to Fiji sailing.

Congratulations, nice upgrade! Hope you enjoy it. Don't worry about the Butler, he will let you know what his services are - we've had one a couple of times and they have been fine and taken good care of us. We usually have a cocktail party in our suite at some point, and he takes care of that sort of thing, refreshes your bar/refrigerator, makes dinner reservations for you, things like that. They support the room stewardess somewhat and take some of the burden off them. If you order room service, your Butler will bring and set that up as well.

Congrats on the upgrade!

We have a butler on our upcoming cruise. Is it true that they will do your laundry for you? Seems like a pretty good benefit to me...

Greg, Congratulations. It IS a better room. It has a full size couch as opposed to a love seat and is about 12 inches or so longer. The bedroom and bath are the same as a C, but the living room and balcony are larger by a bit. Otherwise, it is the same layout. With three to a room, it will be much more comfortable. It is about the size of a Mariner cabin. The C cabin is smaller.

Now, I wouldn't pay extra for it as it is a lot more for a bit more space, but it is certainly better than a C. Enjoy and say hi to Gretchen.

Greg, that is great! As a PG veteran, you probably already know about the nice, "secret" little deck out at the front of the ship on Deck 8 - we enjoy hanging out up there sometimes as we are sailing in or out of somewhere. Of course, your own balcony will be just a few feet away! Enjoy!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not think they will do your laundry for you. I'd imagine they will take it to the laundry for you.

We sail on Silver Wind on Wed. and did not look at the ticket until today. The booking was for a mid-ships verandah on deck 5. We were 'upgraded' to deck seven, and next door to the owners suite !!
Although the cost is unaffected, it is still nice to know that good customers get these 'rewards' from time to time.

Nice!!! Maybe you will get to know your neighbors and they will invite you over.

WOW! How nice is that! I just read on CC about ATN CNX someone's flight (a week out or so) and Upgraded them to First to go to Tahiti two days early and pay for meals and hotel for the extra nights! The Upgrade gods must be smiling.

Congratulations. A couple we met on the PG in 2005 got the very same type of upgrade and loved it.

We just found out we got upgraded ourselves for our cruise in the Med next week...H to D. No difference in size or appointments in the room. However, with Voyager's reported vibration problems in the aft cabins, the location of our new room means we shouldn't have to worry too much.
