Had a wonderful weekend attending Tom Matassa’s surprise 80th birthday party. He sure can still dance better than anyone else! It was a great evening and Marcie did a fantastic job arranging it all. Also got a chance to visit my sister June and Ralph as it had been almost two years since we had seen each other.

It was so fun...a delicious dinner followed by mingling, music, dancing and karaoke. Tom thought we were just meeting Sue & Ray for dinner as we have many times.

I had to come up with a reason to have Tom go into the private banquet room. Anthony (owner's son) told us they had just redecorated the room as an excuse to come see it.
Sue and I went in first and came back to the table telling Tom and Ray "It's so nice ! You need to come look at it" Tom didn't move, sipping his wine he said "Tell me all about it". ....hmmm.? There was no plan B. Reluctantly with a bit of pleading, and Ray standing up to go see the room, he agreed to take a quick peek at the newly redecorated room. He was SO SURPRISED with everyone there! It really was a TOTAL SURPRISE to him and such a FUN night for all.

That so sounds like him Marcie! The look on his face in that second picture shows you really got him!
