Today is a sunny sea day with nice calm seas. Yesterday we were in Caragena, Columbia. I went on a tour but it was so boring. The guide was difficult to understand and he talked and talked about things that were zzzz'ing. I ended up bailing half way through the tour (another story all together that needs to be told in person). Tomorrow we're in Cayman Islands and we're just going to do our own thing.
Last night we had fun dinner with Kathy, Al, Sue & Ray. We followed up dinner at the Cirque Navigator show with all the amazing aerials. After the show we went to Galileo's for Latin Dancing with the Ballroom dancers. Tom has been attending the classes (he's the only male in the class) so he had fun time practicing what he's learned with the female dance professional. (Tom Giusto posted a cute video of it on his FB). Tonight we're having dinner with the 2 ballroom dance instructors so that will be nice. They're a young, beautiful married Russian couple.
Not a whole lot of luck at Trivia, only one win. I had better luck at Bingo a few days ago and won the cover all Woo Hoo ! Now we're off to play in the sea day Texas Hold'em tournament. This has been a huge hit with the maximum 12 players so we need to show up early to keep our seats.
Looking forward to Charleston on Wednesday when we have the Kimmi's and Tony coming on board for dinner. Yippee. We haven't seen them since Joanna's service in October so this will be under much happier circumstances.

Sorry to hear your excursion was disappointing Marcie. But sounds like you are making up for it with fun onboard the ship! According to my weather man, you should have a good day for your port stop in Port Canaveral.

Sorry I am behind in my posts. Ken posted some pictures above from Cartagena.
Al, Kathy, Ken and I hired a van to do a little sightseeing. On the way out we walked through a wonderful pier side area. They have built a park area with flamingos, parrots all types of birds. Lovely flowers and trees and a coffee shop. A wonderful gift shop as well. The crew were walking around just loving this attraction right at the ship.
Our day was great. We saw some of the group at the fort and just drove the waterfront and the new town. Of course we saw some of the old town also. It was hot and the van had great air conditioning. At the end we went to a shopping mall to go to an Apple Store to get Al a cable he lost. A perfectly lovely day
In Grand Cayman it was very hot. We have been here many times so I stayed onboard and Ken went ashore to get a hair cut. The line was so long he gave up and came back. Lovely day on board I played scrabble with my new super scrabble board. Scrabble players you need to check out this board. Twice the tiles. Once you play with this board the standard board is boring
Been busy between ports, cards, scrabble, and of course EATING.
Today is a sea day, cards this morning and then scrabble this afternoon. Sun is shining super calm water. Beautiful day.
Plans sound great for the refurbishment of the Navigator. Everyone is talking aboard how great it will be. All cabins updated and major reconfiguration of the public areas. An expanded coffee corner will be a big improvement
Tomorrow is Miami and Ken and I are going to visit Regent. We come to visit once a year so this is the perfect opportunity. Looking forward to that it is always fun to visit with the people we work with on a daily basis.

Enjoyed the sea day yesterday. Our team won trivia, we were quite surprised not only to win, but that we even had 10 answers right.
Today we will be in Miami, just going to do the South Beach area on our own, maybe have some lunch. Have enjoyed this cruise so far, and enjoyed some new ports.

Hey Ken, that Macaw was the same one in Cartagena that fell in love with Maddy's pink socks during our S. America cruise! Great picture.

We thought of you Paul when we were with all those birds!
We went to visit the Regent offices today it is nice to visit with all the people you work with on a daily basis. Those that did the excursions said it was hot today but they enjoyed their day anyway.
Tonight prime seven. I am hungry - missed lunch today - perfect night for early reservations.

I am so behind in posting.
After Miami we went to Port Canaveral. We have been to Kennedy Space Center before and are going in April on Palm. So we decided to join George and Mary they were going to their favorite pizza place In Cocoa Beach shopping center. The pizza was amazingly good. The restaurant was called Ryan's huge slice the size of a normal medium pizza and any topping you wish. Yummy. This was a darling town with great shops and cafes. We took a few shots with Kens iPhone camera. Doubt a camera will ever be left again. Nice day not quite as hot. Everyone who went to the Space Center enjoyed it and said the lunch was good.
Then onto Charleston. George and Polly picked us up and we had a great day. First we drove through some of the suburbs, Mount Pleasant and Old Town. The houses were all so different, some large some small. The trees were stunning and the Spanish Moss hanging down was pretty. That means the air is not polluted, not seen much Spanish Moss in Dallas.
Then we went to Boone Plantation that exceeded my expectations. A working plantation with a big house, trolley tour of the property and slave quarters with the history and life at different times during the slave period. Each cabin covered a different era and subject with a TV playing information and wax models. We found it very interesting.
The plantation does a lot of events for children with a maze in a cornfield and an area full of giant spiders and ghosts for Halloween. It was fun
Then off to George and Polly 's condo. Stunning views! We could see the Navigator and there was a flood plain below with a lot of birds and we even saw deer. Bo and Meredith were there too. Inside was spacious and beautiful and five balconies. Polly cooked a fantastic meal with the star of the dinner being fresh shrimp. A great receipe featuring orange and lemon flavors with sour dough bread for dipping. What a wonderful time we had.
Kathy and Al and others debarked in Charleston so we will miss them for the last two nights.
The second day we went to lunch with John, Kimmi, Tony, Marcie and Tom. I sent Julie a picture to post. So much fun to see them we walked down memory lane and caught up with what everyone is doing.
We sailed away from Charleston as we enjoyed the farewell dinner with Tom and Marcie. Light eating, lobster, Dover sole, and double cut rack of lamb. Worked for me.
Last night it got rough and this morning a lot of driving rain. Our cabin and others had water leaking through the sliding glass doors. Not too bad just an inconvenience. Been in the cabin all day catching up with some business issues and packing. Tomorrow we debark in New York and fly home.
Been a nice trip overall a very outstanding staff some real super stars. The Crew Capers was really good. Lots of live singers, a backdrop of slides of the home countries that the crew member performing. Really well done.
We sent a few pictures to Julie to post so they are coming.

Looking at this year's cruise, which we couldn't make, has been a preview of our cruise next September from San Francisco to NYC on the Mariner. It should be wonderful, but it would have been even better if we had been able to join the KLT group this year.
Your cruise seems to have more ports than ours, particularly after Cartagena, Ours goes to Cabo, Acapulco, San Juan del Sur (Nicaragua), Puntarenas (Costa Rica), Panama Canal, Cartagena, Charleston, and then home to NYC. The odd thing is that the map for the cruise shows Puerto Quetzal and Corinto, but not San Juan del Sur. I guess we'll know where we'll be going when excursions open up in January.
When does your cruise end? Ideally, I would have wanted to greet you at the dock; but that probably won't be possible: the NY docks are too confusing for that, Smooth sailing everyone!

At the airport waiting for our flight home. Saying goodbye to friends is never fun but knowing we are going to see almost everyone in the near future makes it easier.

Marcie you sure get around with the famous people of the world.
Reminds me of the picture Leslie and I had taken with Stallin in his Villa, kind of him to pose with us.
That really looks good, worth an expensive frame as well!
