What fabulous photos. I didn't think I would do snakes either but ended up with huge one around my neck (photo op) in of all places...Singapore! I love seeing all these great pictures you're posting.

Your trip sounds so interesting with so many of our favorite travel friends. clap

Great photos, as usual!! Can't wait for the lemur pictures.

Did you guys do a private tour for the lemurs or the ship's tour?

I meant to mention that in my post. We did a private tour at $90 each from DODI TOURS and I found them on the internet. They did a great job. I would highly recommend them. Leonce our guide was wonderful, full of personality and very accommodating. We will post a picture of him just did not have time to do them all yesterday.

Dodi got back to me on emails promptly and was easy to work with. We were there before any Regent tours arrived and were coming down when the first Regent tour arrived. So we had the forest to ourselves.

The highlights tour went to a sanctuary and they saw more lemurs but there is something special about seeing them in the wild. If the walk is a problem for you then you should do the highlights tour.

What fabulous pictures you're getting!! Your tour sounds like a great one, you must have had a big LCT bus.

Oh my! What awesome photos! I want to able to feed one like you guys are doing! I wonder if they had that opportunity on the Regent tour...

Well, that was interesting...
Apparently the harbor pilot in Richards Bay comes aboard by helicopter. Wow.

Only seen a helicoptered pilot once before in China in rough weather. THe trip has been so calm but last night we were rocking and rolling with a big swell. Still that way entering Richards Bay today so it is possible they did not use a boat as it was too hard to off load safely and easier to do by helicopter.

Sure got our attention with a helicopter right outside our window!

YES, the Regent tour was able to feed the lemurs as well.

Disaster on Voyager!?!?!?!?!

They have run out of Limoncello!?!?!?!?!?

Arlene and I had a fantastic dinner at Sette Mari sitting on the fantail for sunset and sail away from Richard's Bay. A fantastic evening "marred" by the lack of limoncello. waah

A fantastic day in Richard's Bay. We went on the St Lucia Wetlands excursion and had a great time with the hippos and crocodiles and birds; we had a close up experience with a Kingfisher; Lauri has some great photos.

No trivia today. We retired our trivia team yesterday with a 15 out of 15 performance. Andrea and Lauri are off on safari tomorrow so we will be without two critical cogs for the last two trivias; oh well, it was great while it lasted.

I haven't posted at all this cruise as I was under the weather for a few days. Some friends have been asking for pics so here are two. One with Marc and I at the Taj Mahal and one of us with the Lemurs. It has been a really fun cruise, and everything has been great onboard.

ONLY ONE AND A HALF DAYS LEFT NOW!

How on earth could 30 days fly be so fast. Been such a great cruise, so diversified, great weather, good food and above all super people to travel with.

One night in Cape Town and one night in Doha - all daytime flights home that is a very easy way to go. On Qatar all the way my new favorite airline. We arrive home late on the 23rd and at noon on the 24th all the staff leave the office for the holidays until January. Yours truly will be IT for the most part with one helper a day the week after Christmas.

From leisure to work in a HURRY!

This has been a wonderful cruise. I picked up 11 new countries which is a record for me. Even though it has been 30 days it has flown by so fast. Mark and Cheron and Olivia left the ship today after we arrived in Cape Town and the rest of us disembark tomorrow morning. There are 10 of us staying over at least one night so we are all meeting for dinner tomorrow night at the Baia Restaurant. Marc and I were there about 8 years ago and have fond memories of the huge seafood platters so we are excited to go back. We fly to London on Monday to spend Christmas there and then it will be back home for New Years. I hope everyone have uneventful flights home and are able to have a Merry Christmas at home.

After a day long tour of the cape including table mountain, cape of good hope and penguins we arrived at Birkenhead House. It's just as spectacular as everyone has said it is.

I went shark cage diving this morning. We saw many sharks but the view really is better from the upper deck of the boat than from the water. Still, an amazing experience.

I leave tomorrow for my 32 hour return trip to Houston via Dubai. The past five weeks have flown by so quickly. Thanks to my friends new and old for making this so wonderful.

The dinner at Baia was wonderful the shellfish was yummy. Seeing the Voyager sail out of Cape Town was so interesting. It is incredibly tight and it did look like the voyager was ramming the nautical. Wish we had been in the observation lounge for that departure. Sad to see the ship sail without us on board.

After debarking ken and I joined jerry and Peggy and went to Birkenhead house. We wanted to see the new refurbishments. The dining room has been expanded and that was a huge improvement. They also doubled the size of rooms 2, 3 and 4. We could not see room 3 it was occupied but the other two rooms were a huge improvement.

We had a really great lunch including an amarula tart with cinnamon ice cream.

Once we got back to Cape Town we did a quick walk through the waterfront. So many changes. The red shed crafts are gone but a new watershed has opened and that is a wonderful market that has very nice things. The waterfront was hopping and busy with performances all over the place.

Jim, Pam, Ken and I were on the same plane CPT to Doha so shared a ride to the airport. It was a beautiful morning and I really wanted to stay longer in Cape Town
Flight was good and we hugged Jim and Pam goodbye as they were continuing on and we were spending the night.

Now we are in lounge the next morning waiting for our 16 hour flight home.

A fantastic trip, out longest time on a ship and it just flew by so quickly. All good things have to to an end UNTIL NEXT TIME.

Cannot thank you all enough for sharing your adventures and your photos with all of us at home. So glad you had such a wonderful time and could be with such a great group of friends.

Arlene and Marc have a great time in London. I bet it's beautiful right now! Cheers!

(I hope Ken took some pics of Birkenhead House!)
