Karen, as you all know, is a Musher beyond compare, a major rock climber and our Keeper of LCT!

You also may know that she does love the shoe....

All of us - MUSHers & non-MUSHers - have heard about the famed shoe suitcase.

NOW, for the very 1st time anywhere, we present you Karen and the Amazing Shoe Suitcase!!!

Doug

A no-Prize (thanks, Stan) for the first person to correctly guess how many pairs of shoes Karen got into this bag for a 7 (ok, 8) night cruise!)

Karen has tiny feet & she must really knows how to squish them in her amazing bag so I'm going with 18.

Oh that is fantastic! As far as MUSH pictures go, that HAS to win a prize!! I am always trying to figure out if I can get away with one pair, or if I have to go with two pairs of evening shoes!!! LOL

I just wish I had the shoe style sense of our fearless LCT leader...AKA Imelda!! :D

Okay- this is great. :lct:

I would say- that case would have 21 pairs of shoes. That is 3 pairs for each day. Remember they did the pre-trip.

I was going to guess it was the one in Karen's favorite thread - Our First Cruise 20 Years Ago - but it's not. Therefore...Karen's hair is certainly bangin'!! <img border="0" alt="[naughty]" title="" src="graemlins/naughty.gif" />

Karen, that would be DDD, reclining by the pool at the hotel pre-cruise! So, if your hair is big, you have no excuse...just kidding...your hair looks great even while you are sunbathing!!! :D

I love this pic!!

Edited by Karen to remove the ash white picture of herself with a big stomach!!

Karen - we should have taken a picture of all of your luggage, the size of your rental car in Whittier, and taken a poll as to whether people thought that we could fit all that luggage in the car or not. :D

Andi - those WERE a very cute pair of Ugg boots. Too bad - no pics.

Masaki, without YOU, we would of never got all that luggage into the minivan! You should of seen the airport security guy's face when we started unloading all the luggage at the airport. He asked how long we had been in Alaska and after we told him, he couldn't contain himself :)

You know, when we were packing, I pointed out how big my suitcase was. Doug said, "At least you don't have a suitcase just filled with shoes." I then pointed to my shoe suitcase...it was smaller than Karen's though.

Yikes...21 pairs of shoes! I think I took 14 pairs on the WC for 4 months and I thought that was a lot! All of Karen's shoes are sooooo cute!

Masaki - it was even funnier when two of us climbed out from the middle seat, then three suitcases, then the two in back had to crawl over the middle seat to get out, plus the stuff in back, and the stuff you managed to get into the cartop carrier - it really was funny. We definitely should have taken a picture!

Sheri-
Let's share that idea with Mr. Conroy from RSSC. They should consider adding a Diamond level to the Seven Seas Society which includes a shoe storage locker aboard the ship of your choice so folks like Karen can travel lighter!
