Kristen they have changed the rules - you need cabin and booking #'s for your fellow dinner guests - but guessing we'll be able to get a second reservation once onboard.

Since this is a two week cruise, shouldn't we be allowed two in each restaurant? Does anyone love Signatures and hate P7? If so, we can "pair up" and make "duplicate" reservations. ;)

Ship still looks pretty empty. Must be something about Athens and Israel. ;)

On our last cruise it was one per segment, (whether the segment is 7 days or 25 days). So, we were allowed 2 in each restaurant since the 24 day cruise was actually 2 segments.

That's what I thought Cindy - ours is one segment - Marc we liked P7 very much and would be happy eating there twice... and I'll be happy with one Signatures reservation during 14 nights - you can't beat CR cheer cheer

Ditto with how you feel Joanna. Two P7's would be nice if possible; 1 Signatures is enough for us.

Greg isn't crazy about French cuisine, so we never have tried Signatures. We had our muster drill there, though! (Of all places!)

Just FYI TUT is not as empty as one might surmise from all those "available" comments next to categories. Sometimes there may be only one or two cabins in these categories and the "available" shows up.

Also guarantees have to be assigned as well so even if you looked category by category you are not aware of how many guarantees will take those cabins, they fill up categories pretty quickly.

I saw a ship I thought looked empty but in checking for a group of 10 cabins there were actually only about 12 cabins left after the guarantees were assigned.

Just do not want you all to get your hopes up for multiple Prime 7 reservations.

Me too. I just signed on and, although it greeted me by name, it showed I had no booked cruises and no nights cruised with Regent. Not! Will try back later.

Questions for those in the know:

Do we need any visas for this trip? If so, can we get them on the ship or close to it? How much are we talking and do they accept US dollars?

Also, Greg heard that some countries will not allow you entry if your passport has recently been stamped by an Israeli port of entry. Just making sure we'll be OK? Especially in Egypt? (Which is the biggest reason we are taking this cruise!)

I know cruise ships go there all the time, but things change. Just wondering what the latest "regulations" are. We don't want to sound paranoid but this is going to be the trip of a lifetime for us and we want to have all our bases covered!

Actually Debbie is about to send out an email on these very subjects. Lisa, Julie and Susan are all away this week so we are a "little busy" or this may have gone out sooner.

No visa to get before you leave and any costs for visas done by the ship on any voyage always go on your shipboard account and are paid by your credit card on any voyage.
No vacinations required

Link to information on Visas on our web site.

http://www.bkrssc.com/I_Visas.htm

The expensive visas are those you have to get ahead of time, Brazil, Russia, China etc.

Linda just got back from the same trip on the Mariner in May and in Israel they give you a "landing card" that you carry with you but they do NOT stamp your passport.

:lct: Excellent on all counts! Thank you, Ngaire. And now I do recall that Linda had a "landing card" of sorts. I just didn't connect it to not having the passport stamped.

Just noticed this morning on the BK site, that you can now pre book spa appointments at 75 ddays out. Called the toll free number 1-877-329-1924, talked to a very nice young lady and got my appointment requests in, she is sending to the "cruise coordinator" who will confirm back and she said I should have a confirmation card in my cabin on embarkation day. No standing in line at the spa. :D :app:

Well, I'm probably the biggest TUT cheerleader of all - it'll be our first B&K escorted cruise, sailing on our favorite ship, and an itinerary that we have dreamed of for years. Not to mention, staying in Athens, our favorite city of all, prior to the cruise. Needless to say, we are counting the days!

No No Kristin - nothing going to go wrong, no no no!!!!!
You are our cheerleader for TUT, maybe we should get you a uniform and pom poms - it is going to be everything you hoped for Kristin. Can't wait to see you and Greg again, feel like we just barely got to know you at HoDown, but somehow feel we have connected. Wish you could join the dinner group, but do understand that you have people in Athens who will probably give you the weekend of a lifetime, so see you onboard.

Yes JoAnn Kristin needs pom poms I will check the dollar store :) :) funny Kristin I was worried, too, when there was political unrest in Athens but all over those thoughts - and we like Athens very much I know some do not but we have enjoyed the city! GB hotel sure helps

Two months from tonight we will be on our overnight flight to Madrid, then Athens. I was just thinking about TUT and checking in to find out that I'm not the only one!

Kristin, I will join the cheerleading squad also. JoAnn, I want pom poms too, :3smile:

We are in New Mexico, at our vacation home in the northern mountains. Yesterday we got to have lunch in Taos with Leslie and Brad. It was so good to see them -- last time was Ho-Down -- and it ramped up our eagerness for TUT too! As we parted ways, we said that we'll see each other next in Athens, at the pre-cruise dinner. How fun is that????

OK Joanna, better get two sets of pom poms one for Kristin and one for Priscilla. LOL :ch: :ch:

I had some worried thoughts a few months back too during the riots, but hopefully things have calmed down and it will be a great weekend. Our pre cruise dinner is up to 27 now, I met another lady on CC and they will join us as well (hope that is ok with everyone) so I need to email Spiros and have the restaurant set up several tables rather than just one huge one, it will probably be better for conversations, and we can move around and such too.

Can't wait to see everyone.

FINALLY!!!

Just booked air for TUT. COACH all the way. :(

Couldn't use miles but understandable given the number of TUTers flying Delta. ;)

Got good connections; 9:50am flight on return. Now, it is time to find good seats on the Air France segments.

Well Joanna at least you are now getting out on the 17th and not having to overnight, I know.....it isn't the greatest situation but try not to let is stress you out toooooo much, this is just too great of a trip -- drink lots of wine on the flight home. LOL cheer cheer

We had issues too, ended up spending two nights in Madrid as a result, but we decided if we were going to get there at 6pm and fly out at 11:50 the next day, we might as well spend an extra night and see something other than the view from our hotel. LOL. And we have to fly Madrid to Chicago to Regan, not the best scenario, much rather come into Dulles.

Its all good Joanna, its all good.

I am actually hoping for a missed connection at CDG on the return. It happened on VOF and I got to see Paris for the first time. Now, that we know Paris so much better, I think we would really like another short layover.

We have had other missed connections having to enjoy an extra night on vacation. I used to stress about the wasted vacation time; I guess I am mellowing out a bit.

Now, on the outbound, if we miss a connection and miss the TUT pre-cruise dinner, Arlene will probably shoot me!
