I am sorry to say that Marty my husband of almost 54 years passed away on September 18th. Many of you knew him from past cruises when he was not too sick to travel. He had been in ICU and CCU for six weekis before he opted for DNR. At the end there was just no chance that he could get better.

54 years together, what a blessing to have had that and what a sorrow for you to lose it. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Bette, I met you and Marty in San Francisco when a few LCT members had a small get together. He showed me photo's of his car(s)? Nice man, I liked you both a lot.

He made me promise that I would start to travel again because we were held back from doing so for a few years. I will be checking into LCT more often to see what is going on

Bette, I was on that same cruise with you and Marty that Anne spoke of above, first time I met both of you. He was a delightful man, truly, and such a gentle man. I separate those last two words to make a point. I recall sitting with the two of your in whatever hotel we were staying in FLL before our cruise, having a chat and a drink. And then, remembering what you went through with that huge mudslide years ago, and he was a trooper. So sorry for you. Thank you for letting us know so we can remember, and send you our best.

I'm sorry, it's so hard to lose your mate. I know there are some good hospices in your neck of the woods that have support groups for those who have lost a spouse/s.o. I too remember meeting Marty (and you) at the San Francisco LCT get together. I hope you start to feel a tiny bit better soon.
