We have a new addition to the family, a male hairless Chinese Crested, 5 mos. old. This makes dog #5! We obviously LOVE dogs...

But we have no clue what to name him... I know our LCT friends will give us some ideas, though! So thanks in advance...and off we go in the meantime to buy some items for our new little dude! :)

Really cute....How about Charlie, Chad or Craig...going for aliteration? I do like Harry too. I've always wanted to name a dog "Stay" or "Come." You could do something odd and name him "5" (fifth dog and 5 months old). He kind of looks like Andy Warhol. You could name him Andy.

Kristin he is so adorable! The last pic of him made me think he looks like a tiny little pony!

I would think you need to keep him well protected from the sun during the warm months of the year if he goes outside for more than a few minutes.

I like Spike!

The Silver Emperor or Silver Regent I always think of registered names first. With Silver Regent could either be Reggie or Silly OR just the " Gent " ;) His color looks to be Silver, he is a Regal breed, and you sail SilverSeas and Regent. ( Although, when Karen mentioned Fabio, I immediately saw the resemblence!)
On the other hand, I may have had too much caffeine today!

You guys crack me up! We just got back from the shopping trip, we had fully expected him to have left a "gift" for us in the crate (because he hasn't gone at ALL since we picked him up at noon!), but the towels were all clean!

We have two Italian greyhounds (a very spunky, friendly breed), a Maltese poodle mix and a mini-dachshund/mini-pinscher mix (our little watchdog). We figured this little guy would be all puppy, but he is as calm as can be. Chinese Cresteds are not barkers, nor jumpers. The other four took an instant liking to him. He sneered (or maybe smiled?) at them for a bit and then started getting into the "groove". He seems totally happy to have space to roam in and friends to play with. So far, out of all the dogs we've had, he has been BY FAR the most adaptable to his surroundings.

I love all of your name ideas, keep 'em coming!!! I don't know how we'll ever decide. Greg wants Ozzy, but I am not too excited about that name...?

No new pics yet, we'll probably have some more tomorrow! I can report, though, that he took a nice LONNNNG tinkle on our tile floor (thank God not the carpet)...I was actually glad he finally went, because 7 hours is an awfully long time for a puppy to "hold it". We soaked it up on a paper towel and took it (and him) outside. You know the drill.

I wish he would be like Bango, our youngest Italian greyhound, who had only TWO accidents as a puppy. Smart as a whip, he learned very quickly from the other dogs just where he was supposed to "expel"...

Funny, Spike doesn't look Italian! :D

What are the other dog's names?

Sometimes you can have a theme going...I know of a whole Cairn litter of peppers - Jalapeno, Habnero, etc (Their mom was names Spicy), and another one after herbs (same breeder) and another breeder had a litter named after different kinds of liquor - Jack Daniels, Gentleman Jack, Tia Maria and Kahlua,- all show dogs. Oh and there was a Coke, Pepsi grouping too - Root Beer is called Rooty.
