Is anyone else interested in going to the Tiger Temple, or maybe including elephant bathing..maybe something like this ?

Marcie, looks good to me; only issue is can we do if we fly in to Bangkok and need to be at ship next day (with all of our luggage in tow).

Marcie - we used Bangkok Day Tours a few years ago and would recommend them based on our experience. I think you would enjoy the Tiger Temple. We didn't do the elephant bathing but that sounds fun too! Wish we could go.

Marc, guess we have 17 months to figure it out. Maybe air deviations arriving a day or 2 early; customize tour to fit our needs ? Maybe we use our points to get a hotel room for all our luggage?

For us it's no problem since every day is Saturday. For ME...how can I be so close and not pet a tiger?

We also used Bangkok Day tour for 2 days earlier this year. We did see the elephants bathing. It was part of an elephant camp where the campers were bringing them back from their day They customized our tour and we were extremely happy with our guide and their company.

Marcie, I might be interested in petting a tiger but no desire to bath an elephant. Riding one, yes. However, since I have never been to Bangkok I know there will be things there I will want to see. And then there is Cambodia.

I hear ya Betty...I've been to Bangkok 5 times between Tom working there and 2 WC's so I'm ready to branch out.

Speaking of elephants, I am surprised that there isn't an excursion in Sri Lanka to the Pinnaela elephant orphanage...we really enjoyed it on WC after seeing it on 60 minutes...maybe it will be added.

Let's get a private tour to go see the elephants. Never been to that part of the world.

We have also used Bangkok Day Tours and were pleased. We did the Tiger Temple and the floating market, both very unique experiences.

Marcie, we have decided that we will do our own air and hotel; so count us in for Tiger Temple!

If we can stay there and then arrange transfer straight to ship day of embarkation that would work great.

I added you to the roll call. If you have a cabin assignment that you want me to add, let me know.

If you're going to do the Tiger Temple, keep in mind that the famous River Kwai(and the war memorial) is just a few miles away. It's quite a drive to the Tiger Temple, so you could have lunch by the river before or after you visit the tigers. And if there's time, the floating market is sort of on the way up to the temple. We loved all three of those places.
