Post for LCT
Hi everyone. Well I sure miss my free internet! The wireless does not work in our cabin. The good news is that the internet is pretty fast so that is a wonderful thing. The food has been good with a very large dinner menu and lunches are a really great buffet with excellent fish.
The first island was Huahine and we played “hooky’ and stayed onboard. Spent the morning catching up with Ken and Sheila which was very nice. Then in the afternoon we played hearts and had a truly lovely lazy day.
The second day was a sea day. We went to hear the New Zealander, Mark Eddows who many of you that have been to Tahiti probably remember. I enjoyed his lecture. Then another nice lunch and we played cards in the afternoon. Polly played for the first time with Cheron as her teacher and they beat the seasoned hearts players. “I think Polly got it”
Weather has been good and the sea okay, just a little moving around as we head towards the Cook Islands where we arrive tomorrow. Many have set up private excursions and we are all going in different directions.
Seeing everyone has been great, this a wonderful group of people. Lots of noise on our first get together. Dinner the first night with Mark, Cheron, Al and Kathy and last night with Doug, Andi, Ken and Sheila. Tonight David Mary Elaine, George and Polly – pretty wonderful dinner companions! We are going to eat in the French specialty restaurant in La Veranda.
Looking forward to our first Cook Island port of call tomorrow. Be back later.
