Marc,
We watched the longboat go back into Bounty Bay - they have to wait and catch a wave, just like surfing, and just past the breakwater make a sharp 90 degree left turn. A tender couldn't manoeuver that quickly and would smash against the rocks. We asked about cruise passengers going ashore and they said it's done ONLY with their longboats and only for up to 30 or 40 people. If they did that for us there would be another 400 really pissed off guests that didn't get selected, so it was the right choice.

The weather was perfect and it was a wonderful visit to this remote paradise.
