Marcie Assuming that there is no handy telephone booth to duck into enabling me to leap tall buildings in a single bound, I will be too limited in imagination and the sense of detail and humor which has made your report a true classic. However, I will be more than willing to be your laptop bearer!

Ted, don't bug out on us IF you have free access on your laptop from your cabin and can post freely, just like you do here. That makes it a WHOLE lot easier. Just like at home, when you sign in here, right? All of us at home can NOT miss this cruise, and it is over a year away, and we are already stressed!

Just to bring this up to the top of the list.
I hear the wc2007 is 90% booked and that they are limiting bookings to a minimum of 3 segments. Wow!
Any new names to add to Marcie's list?

Joanna, If next year is anything close to the segment we just returned from, it just can't get any better. This year was soooo much fun. ..........I'm counting the days until we leave again. Just the ability to board the ship 15 minutes from home is such a big bonus for us. I hope you will be cruising with us so we can meet.

Joanna, no we have never been in a horizon suite. We really had no other choice, there were only two suits left for these three segments and they were both horizon, one one deck 10 and the other on 8. Our friends onboard told us not to take the one on ten because it's right under La Veranda and you hear noise early in the morning and also late at night when they are cleaning. They were in one a few years ago and expierenced it. I hope the view when we are docked is good, I know I will love the sea days out on the balcony. I wish I was sitting there right now!!!

Well I hope you are very happy - can't wait to hear about it - when we have toured the Voyager I loved those suites - of course the corner ones with big big decks are incredible BUT $$$$ and you'll have great location, I am sure! - I know envy is a sin but I am guilty... Joanna

Doris, I'm thrilled that you and Alfred will be on 3 segments! We'll finally get to meet! Andrea, sorry that you cancelled segment 5 but I certainly understand needing to make choices. Finally,I'll get to meet you on FJORDS.
From what I was told within the past couple of weeks, anyone interested in doing all or part of the WC should definitely get on a waiting list even if you need to put down a deposit. You really don't have anything to lose because if you don't clear the waitlist you get your $$ refunded.

Peggy, that's sad to hear you can't get on any portion of the WC without booking 3 segments. Glad I got to do one in early 2005. Can't say I blame them if bookings for full World are so strong. I think I got off a waiting list for mine, Aukland to Sydney, and it was one that was in demand. One never knows until the money is due.

Paul, you're now on the list! But you know Hans, Tom and I are going to tie you up and NOT let you off after Seg. 3 (should have done that in SA :D )
You're on the MUSH rollcall. Now what about FJORDS? (Capt. Dag's homecoming June 23,'07) That's turning into another MUSH with so many of us!!

Sent the following e-mail today - I am silently sobbing.
Ngaire I'm afraid that I was fooling myself by thinking that I would be able to extricate myself from obligations at home and be away for four months on the 2007 WC. Conflicts have been building to the point that conscience will not permit it. Sadly, I must cancel our plans for the cruise. This is doubly disappointing because of the extraordinary effort you put into getting us everything we wanted. It is clear why you have such a loyal following -- please count us among that number. I enjoy reading the ROAR messages -- brings back fond memories -- sounds like everyone is having a great time. We will be doing the WC - but not in 07. Ted

Marcie, we were on the first leg of the SA on Mariner in '05, while you were on the WC. We followed your posts thru out that trip. We did FLL to Lima thru the canal and it was wonderful. We also did Tokyo to HK last fall on Mariner. My husband actually made it thru 14 days, so I thought I'd push for 21 nights. Don't know if he would EVER do the entire WC. Plus, we don't really have that kind of time right now. Maybe in a few years (we're semi-retired in our 50's). Doing five nights in Cape Town before and a few days in Singapore after, so it will be the longest trip we've ever been away. We certainly enjoy reading "seamail" from everyone on LCT, and am especially enjoying the posts from ROAR. Linda & Larry

Ngaire has come up with a great Safari trip (actually two places to choose from) from Cape Town to return to the ship at Richards Bay.
Any one else going?

Hi Marcie,
Howard & Derek here and we'll be on the last leg pf 07 world cruise. Are you listing this segment here or elsewhere. The TAP thread only lists the April 30th segment. We don't have cabins yet as we were on a guarantee. I guess we'll get them about 60days before? We're cruising over on Seabourn leaving here April 1st. Much better than flying. Looking forward to meeting all of you.
