Obvious that you two ladies have not been on any LCT Group Cruises. Table Dancing, Pole Dancing, Lap...oh, laps around the jogging track or pool, the former done with a wine glass full at the start of each lap and empty by the end....(not me - just from some reports on board other cruises...

Oh, oh Kathy, were you about to say "lap dancing"? I just have a hunch you were leading the pack around the track. You see, when I showed Sandy your picture, her comment was "She looks like she will be a lot of fun". Sooo...I guess your reputation is cast in concrete.

Tee hee...Kathy my eyes were deceiving me and I was reading laps around the POLE not POOL! I am sitting here thinking gosh you sure can get a lot of laps in walking around a pole - even with a glass of wine! :lct:

Hey, speaking of leading the pack, no one seems to have arranged a LCT Sailaway party so I will be happy to announce that we usually just meet right after muster drill on the pool deck for sailaway party. Sail away from Monte Carlo is particularly nice.....last year, we had a sailing school of little dinghy's with pink sails wave us out of port....

Our Regent docs were waiting for us today - now everything seems real. Funny how those little pieces of paper and luggage tags are so comforting to receive.

TAP'ers were the group that did the Spring trans atlantic from Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona. TAP, means "Trans Atlantic Party".

Now you do know that our cruise is called CROSS right? "Cruising Regent on Serene Seas"

TUSH was the cruise for those who did not do MUSH which would be "Mariner Under Starry Heavens". I have no idea what TUSH meant - but it was not an actual cruise, except for the fun they had with us MUSH'ers online - OK Denise is going to get me on this one. Will let some of the TUSH'ers explain. My favorite was "MUSHers, do you know what your Pets are doing?" funniest thing I have ever seen while on a cruise.

Right, JoAnn - but you all should get them by tomorrow or Monday (unless DHL delivers on weekends) because Regent told me they are usually sent out 30 days prior to sailing.

Woohooo!I Just checked our reservation, and docs were shipped out yesterday. I had them shipped directly here to save my Agency some money instead of them then having to reship them to me - so guess all of yours are on the way too CROSSers, or will be within a day or two.

Better start warming up for the doc dance in the next week everyone! YES!!!!

How exciting JoAnn!!!! What a long awaited trip! Or so it seems for me, a non Crosser, but having so many of you as buddies I celebrate with you- Shirley and Sue you will figure out the LCTers within a few days - you will know all names and personalities - :D :D :D :D

I just want to say something here. This experience I have had this past few weeks, once I found LCT, has been one of the most fun, up-lifting times I can remember. You have all been so gracious, crazy, funny, welcoming etc. etc. I'ts almost like I have a new family. To be able to make these connections before a very special trip will only serve to enhance the enjoyment and pleasure of it all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a pleasure it will be to meet all of you, finally.

Shirley, you DO have a new family. I have gained so much valuable information since LCT was started....everything from picking the right cruises to buying a TV to pouring my heart out when my Mom died. LCT is a "family" of special people. Glad you found us!

I know how you feel. Of the LCTers going on CROSS I have only met Peggy and Jerry, but I feel like I know the others from our interactions on the board and e-mails. The only reason I pushed so hard to be able to go on this cruise ( believe me, it wasn't easy!!) was that there were a number of people I wanted to meet and now, God willing, I will!! :) . We are happy you have joined our little group! :lct:

All this doc talk has certainly made our evening! Congrats on the docs, Nini! JoAnn, yours will be arriving shortly, too. Ours to follow and the dancing will begin!

So many friends to spend time with, once again; others, finally to meet, face-to-face; tremendously excited to do so!

In response to what JoAnn posted pertaining to TUSH - TUSH began with a really silly notion. A large group of LCTers were planning a cruise to Alaska, "MUSH." There was so much talk, Alaska/cruise-related as well as a fairly lengthy discussion of dining on crab legs.

I have to preface the notion, by saying that at the time I was reading these posts, I had just lost my sister and was really feeling very low and sad. Following the MUSH threads really lifted my spirits. One morning, I was reading all the posts about the crab legs and it just struck me that Alan and I, unfortunatley, weren't going on that cruise, and would miss out on crab legs. My "warped" mind went into overdrive, I guess. We would be "stuck" at home dining on fishsticks in our diningroom! The threads evolved into something out of Mad magazine and TUSH was born! We have some insane and creative minds here on LCT - bless them all! At a time of despair, TUSH really pulled me through.

AS I think I've said before, Bud and I are usually "loners" on cruises and when travelling; however, I feel that on CROSS we won't be alone - that I already "know" a lot of the people who we will be joining.

By the way, Denise - have you ever heard again from Al (remember all the "chicken" stories about when we were growing up in various places)? He is very funny and I miss his posts.

Just tried restaurant reservations. 28 days before it's supposed to open. That according to my calendar is today....but they're not open yet. Depends on how you count. So it might be tomorrow.

Nope, not yet. I've checked 3 times, will now wait until tomorrow. Of course, Kathy, you can wait until after midnight. :rolleyes:
