Maria, I could use some help as well. I went to high school in Santa Ana, CA and we had a large hispanic population. However, most of the words that I learned from my friends in school isn't what you would call "conversational spanish", if you know what I mean. :ohmy:

So you have to stay on. Besides you are going to miss out on the Murder Mystery that we are doing on the crossing and I promise when we write the script, we won't kill you off! LOL Actually, we are looking for volunteers. All you would have to do is lay around for about an hour looking dead. I know a lot of people think their spouses would be perfect for the part! I am sure that Diana would think the same thing of me. Especially in front of the TV! LOL

OK, did I scare everybody off with the talk about looking for volunteers to be the corpse? It has been awfully "DEAD" around here lately! LOL

Just noted your entry about the Murder Mystery. I am so sorry I will be missing it :( . I have always wanted to attend one of those weekend things. I am a big fan of Murder mysteries, be it true crime or fiction. Grew up reading Agatha Christie.

I think the T/A will be the perfect time to do one of those!

Diana is quite the Agatha Christie afficianado as well. What she hates is watching a Poirot or Miss Marple Mystery on A&E or PBS, and they change the story up! Love David Suchet though as Poirot! He is great!

It does sound like a lot of fun! Who knows, if it is a success Regent might recruit you to do them on a regular basis!! Wouldn't that be a great second career! You could title them "Murder at Sea" or something like that. I wonder if any cruise line does them?

Oh, I would hate seeing the story line changed! Also, I rather live with the Miss Marple image that I have formed in my head . I am sure that whomever the actress is would probably not look like her :) !

Hi fellow CROSSers! I've been away from LCT and missing my cruising pals. You know how sometimes you get so tired of the ordinary you could scream? Well, that's how I have felt recently, which means that I am beyond ready for CROSS to arrive. I keep holding the thought of eggs benedict on my balcony on a bright crossing morning. Doesn't that sound wonderful?

I too am so ready for CROSS, but we do have some other things to look forward to first, so guess I will just take them one event at a time! :) I'm really looking forward to being back on Voyager again.

It sounds super, Priscilla. I have not had any vacation since early June 2006. Zero, nada, zip! To say I am ready for CROSS would be a gross understatement.

A mini vacation to come next month, sharing some fun times in Santa Fe with special LCT friends!

This cruise won't come soon enough. Somebody asked me tonight what our next cruise was. I told them that we were going in November. They asked, "Not till then?" That was how I felt! Too long to go! Need a cruise fix now!

Believe it or not, time is going by. 2 months have passed since I booked this cruise and it seems as it was yesterday. Eventhough I have the Queen Mary 2 cruise in August, I am more invested in CROSS . I think the main reason is the company of LCTers!! :)

I agree, it can't come soon enough. But at least in the meantime, we have a few things to keep us occupied. Babysitting all the grandkids at various times, family beach trip July 4 week to Outer Banks, football weekend for the BAMA - VANDY game in Nashville and if we are lucky, maybe a few days on our friends boat somewhere in the Chesapeake. But CROSS is our big one this year and we are eagerly anticipating it and looking forward to it, especially with this great group onboard.

All this talk and anticipation about CROSS - but do you all realize that when we get back, it will be the Holidays?????? ;) Now thats a scary.

I'm ready to go now! Is it too early to start packing? LOL

My Cross Test Packing will be in June on the Nautica and for the Nautica I will test pack on Holland America and for Holland America to Vancouver. I will test pack on my run to Ft. Lauderdale...which I test packed for by going to Santa Fe....

Actually, I keep my toiletries packed all the time. I fill up after each trip. Just add clothes etc.

Don, can you just wait until the TAP'ers get home before you pack?

I pack a day or 2 before cruise. Make a list the night before. Very simple. Same old clothes go on each cruise. I feel like I'm Ngaire, and know it matters not what you wear, just go with the code and who cares if you have worn it before!

I pack as you do, Olivia. No need for test runs anymore for any of us who have traveled and cruised to the extent each of us have. Packing ain't brain surgery! ;)

I am going to start setting aside all my clothes in a special chest of drawers. Then when it comes time to actually put them in the suitcase, all I will have to do is take all of them out of the CROSS Dresser! ;) LOL
