I have posted this poll a few times over the years. With all of our new members, I thought it a good time to post again.

How many nights have you sailed Regent?

I clicked on the vote button and I just get a blank pop-up box.

Alan and I will be Platinum by the end of our Vancouver to Osaka cruise. Ten years ago, I would have laughed if you told me I would be a 200-day cruiser.

Do not forget Carol and me. We can party also. Turned Gold on CAVIAR. The Gold etc parties can be fun. Not a big deal but nice to be able to chat up the staff with fewer folks.

I can give you many reports of poorly run Gold, Platinum, and Titanium events; I have given up on them ever being memorable and now just look to have a good time. The two on C2C were both enjoyable although nothing special. A trip to bridge (with coffeee and pastries) on Navigator and a wine tasting in the galley on Voyager. As for size, we have had as few as five to around 100 participants.

There are three things that make a good party.

people, people and people.

If it was just Pat and Ray and Mark and Pam we would have a great party. The food or libations provide by Regent are just extras.

As I said they are not a big deal.

Penny and I turned to Gold while on the World Cruise but for the life of me, I don't remember any gathering for us precious metal people.

Cheers! Ray & Penny

Donna, I did the Platinum Dance when we got back from our two days in Rio last year on the DC. I can say "Free Laundry."

My GUESS is that Peggy and Cy or Elaine and Stan are the Super Duper Titanium or Super titanium...Both are sure deserving and wonderful travel mates !

Congratulations to those of you who turned/turning Platinum, that is another milestone and the laundry is a wonderful perk (the best IMO). Now you're on your way to another nice perk...free dry cleaning and airport pick up/delivery.

Ralph, I'm with you....a good party is all about the people!

I LOVE the free laundry (and pressing) that go with Platinum. (well, all the perks, actually) But it's a long way to Titanium if you don't do WC's!

Free internet is great as is the free newspaper. I am looking forward to free laundry but we still have a way to go.

As for parties, traveling on one of Ngaire's escorted cruises is the way to go. :D

I'll drink to that Ralph, it's always about the people (oh and our pooch parties every day don't hurt either.)

You're soooo right on that Mark......Ngaire's LCTers make the place rock.....I'm just waiting for free laundry as well

Since we are on two separately booked segments on Vancouver to Singapore, we had hoped to reach Platinum by Osaka. Really wanted that free laundry from Osaka to Singapore. Alan was looking forward to a break from laundry duty. Unfortunately, we reach Platinum somewhere in Viet Nam. Next cruise though it's free laundry for us!

Free internet is my favorite perk. That's a real bonus for me.

Donna, don't despair. I believe Ngaire told us during C2C that if you pass enough nights during a cruise now the benefits of the new level become available to you right away.

Donna, free internet is a great bonus for me also. When we were on our Alaska cruise I overheard or talked to several people who were monitoring their internet minutes. It's so nice not to have to do that.

If our first 10-night cruise on Song of Flower in 2001 counted -- it was a Smithsonian tour and I didn't pursue getting those nights added until several years later after we had "rediscovered" RSSC, and it was too late by then -- we would turn Gold after our Ft. Lauderdale to Reykjavik cruise next year. As it stands, we'll have to do another seven nights to get to Gold. That's not an onerous task, though. Happy to book another cruise!

Marc, like you, we would enjoy the free newspaper. Newspaper work was my first career and my husband's lifelong career, so we are news junkies.

Oh yes, the free internet....can't imagine going on a cruise of any length without this great perk! I love the newspaper on our door every morning too!

This is one reason we keep booking Regent and pretty much "switched" from Silversea - the returning guest perks. Before I knew it, we had quickly achieved Silver and got the free internet and hour's worth of phone time. We LOVE that! It's just nice to know that you're not going to have some huge tab at the end of the cruise for internet and phone usage.

True, but the free nights one may eventually get on Silversea are good.

When a little time passes, I may get on Seabourn Odyssey since the free nights are even sooner there, and this ship looks appealing.

Isn't it 350 nights sailed before the freebie is earned? It would take us 25+ years to achieve that. I am not that patient ;)

Don't get me wrong - I still have a very soft spot in my heart for Silversea, as the Wind is where we discovered cruising. I wouldn't hesitate to book Silversea for the right itinerary, for sure.

Ralph! I'm so sorry I got distracted and didn't get back here to say that of course we couldn't forget you and Carol (our other Scorpio girl)!! The party wouldn't start until you got there, and we can't wait to see you again.
