FYI - the AMX 25,000 Membership Points promotion for FUN 2.

This is ONLY good for cards that EARN AMX Membership Rewards points. For example AMX Platinum and other NON affliated AMX cards. The entire crusie must be charged on the qualifying AMX Membership Card or no Membership Points will be applied.

Cards that are "affiliated" such as Starwood, any airline mileage card (Delta for example) or cash back cards These do not earn AMX Membership Rewards Points. They earn Starwood or airline miles or get cash back.

We have lots of AMX cards in our files and they can all be different. Many people have mulitple AMX cards. To be safe we pretty much added this promotion to all bookings. No harm done best to add it than miss a card that qualified.

However, if you are on this cruise and you have a TRUE AMX MEMBERSHIP REWARD card but also use another AMX card as well please contact us if you want to ensure you get those 25,000 points so we can check the card charged.

This one seems to be selling out very fast, everything is waitlist except PHA, HS and SS.

This website has a really cool Port Everglades webcam that is controllable. Robert has offered to man the cam for us :) Here are some of the Regent sailaway pix. (click on photo gallery)
They also have another really fun feature called "Request a wave" where you email them and tell them your sailaway time and they will capture you as you cruise by.

I am knee deep in Health Care Reform (at work) and am counting days to unwind on this cruise.... It can't come soon enough on my calendar!!

When I emailed them, they asked if we would have a banner, I said I didn't know. They will have my cell phone number so they know exactly when we are going by.

They will take the close up picture and email it to Robert.
Of course, you should be able to see us on the webcam as we sail by but they will for sure get us close up.

It is going to be a huge crowd on this webcam what a wonderful way to start the cruise. I need to be sure that nothing else is planned for this time frame - do you know how long after sailaway that the web cam will be aimed at the ship?

I will ask him, I bet he would know the answer.

The original plan was to have a special lunch on board before sailing but we are now up to 116 on the cruise and with the inspections taking place on the ship that day it may not be possible with those numbers.

So they may plan something around the sailaway and we certainly do not want to have any conflicts I love the idea of the webcam.

It is not anticipated that there will be any inconvenience to guests boarding because of the inspections. We have boarded on inspection days before with really none of the guests even being aware an inspection was taking place. Just simply makes it harder to prepare a special luncheon for over 100 guests while an inspection in the kitchen may be taking place.

Update from David, the other nice cam guy. He says within 10 minutes after we start to sail, we will be in cam position. He did bring up a good point, it might be dark at that time in January! We will have to see if we can turn some lights on

Or bring flash lights :D :D

There's an app for my Droid that turns it into a flashlight :)
