Recently finished the first half of the President’s Cruise on Voyager. It was our first cruise and first trip on Regent. Everything was wonderful and my mom and I are now big fans of Regent. The crew really made this a great trip. Had lots of fun and cannot wait to cruise again.

I want to thank everyone for their recommendations re: Gennaro for Sorrento. He was just superb – very easy to book via email and showed us wonderful things. We especially liked the town of Ravello. Pam (CruiserPK) and her husband, Tom joined us for this excursion and we had a very nice time. Also big thanks for recommending Emek in Kusadasi. As for packing I received great help from this board. I highly recommend the collapsible laundry hamper and the relief band watch. Both were very handy. I also packed a few Bounce sheets for the laundry- very useful. Also recommended on this board was an elastic wrap bandage which was helpful when I sprained my ankle in Kusadasi. Sigh……

We are now in Athens for a few days with a great view of the Acropolis from the balcony in our room. Still missing the boat though……Then off tomorrow to Prague, Budapest, and Vienna. I’ll post a proper review when we return.

Tina, You have had the classic Regent experience of excellence, and what an itinerary you had! Your land trip of special cities is just as exciting. Please write a review of your entire trip to share with us.

Tina,

We just got off the Navigator which did a mirror itenerary of the Voyager. Irronically, my wife also sprained her ankle on our cruise - in Rhodes. I'm curious about your weather conditions. We had hurricane force winds going from Rhodes to Naxos during the first night.

Were you out on deck when the Voyager circled around us? If so, let me know and I will send you some close up photos of the Voyager where you will probably be able to identify yourself. If you took any of the Navigator, I'd like one please.

Thanks

Tina,
Now that you have experienced the Voyager, and Regent, nothing will come close. Can't wait to read about the whole trip.

Hi Everyone:

Thanks for your good wishes. We were in Vienna yesterday and in Prague for the next few days and then to Budapest and back to Vienna for a week. Not sure if Budapest will work out as the hotel is advising us not to travel there.

I have great shots of the Navigator when it circled the Voyager. If someone could advise how I could post them, let me know. Also, I am happy to email it to anyone but I have been told that the size of my pics are quite large (that's pics not pecs (Ha Ha).

We had rough weather after Italy on the way to Turkey.

Back to you all with more reports soon.

Tina

Tina,

Posting photos here is not that great. I'd suggest you post them on a free site such as google or webshots. Please e-mail me at borne@hboi.edu when you have recovered from the jet lag, and I'll let you know how best to transfer them.

BTW, it was the Voyager that circled the Navigator. We stood still.

My photos of the Voyager are located at http://picasaweb.google.com/laddborne
When viewing a photo, click "Download Photo" to get a high resolution to your computer. Then you can zoom in and try to find yourself. Let us know if you do.

Hope the rest of your trip goes well.

Karen,

Thanks for the offer. I actually can do it myself, but am too lazy and not sure I want my photo posted next to what I write. :)
