Talked with Regent, Voyager Dec 11, 2006 cruise is Canceled. What a way to run a cruise line, 6 days for before sailing to cancel.

Oh wow, so Navigator will be full for sure!
I feel so sorry for all the people on that cruise. I know it's not the end of the world, but boy, you do anticipate these things. In defense of the cruiseline, I'm sure that's the last thing they wanted to happen, and I'm sure they did everything they could, for as long as they could, to prevent it.

Obviously not the end of the world but I can't help but wonder about the severity of the financial impact that these cancellations have on Regent. Not only the loss of revenue from the cruises but also the added cancelation compensation they usually offer. Can't be good.

And now I just do not know what to do! We cannot change dates, I have an extra set of air tickets (not booked thru RSSC).
The other cruise options do not appeal but I may have to rethink the lines I do not like. So sad....

We have been rebooked on the Navigator. We have already sailed on the Navigator, we were looking forward sailing on the Voyager, we had 2 Horizon suites on the Voyager with the large verandahs, we will not see them on the Navigator. The good side, we did get 2 cabins next each other on the Navigator. Aonther good thing, we did not have to cancel any airline reservations, and we are still cruising! Also, we were lucky enough to get suites forward to avoid the "Navigator Shuffle".

Why would you be shunned? I think that babies and families can go where ever - It's only inconsiderate parents of unruly children that should be shunned (lol) and flogged. Children can only learn by example of their parents.
